  What do you think about the american accent ? I took it while learning english in Israël, with CNN (Commie News Network ) and US movies without subtitling. But hopefully, not the basic redneck accent

Well, I have quite a lot of trouble understanding it in some movies since I'm used to the British accent. But there are as many american accents as there are British accents (ever heard a Mancunian or a Liverpudlian? Sounds like they don't speak English at all. I won't even mention the Scottish or Irish accent, of course )
