Obsidian annonce que son jeu de rôle Pillars of Eternity arrivera un peu plus tard que prévu. Attendu à l'origine en fin d'année, il ne sera finalement livré qu'en début d'année 2015. Un léger délai que le studio compte mettre à profit pour effectuer quelques ajustements basés sur les retours des joueurs ayant eu accès à la bêta fermée du jeu. Financé via Kickstarter, Pillars of Eternity va piocher ses inspirations dans quelques grands classiques du gabarit de Baldur's Gate mais n'oublie pas pour autant d'apporter son lot d'innovations.

Hey, everyone. The latest Backer Beta update is now live. We hope you enjoy. I have included some patch notes.
 
Thanks for all of the help in testing the game and providing useful feedback.
 
Talents and Core Abilities
Over a hundred Talents have been added to allow more options for class customization during the level up process. We've adjusted how the core class abilities are granted to allow for more flexibility within each class.
 
Revised Skill Progression
You can no longer spend points to upgrade skills during level up. All skill advancement is now done through Talents, and thematically grouped Talents will award additional skill points if chosen during level up. Your background choice during character creation will also reward additional skill points.
 
Fog Of War
The Fog of War has been upgraded to obey the sight visibility for the party members. No more cheating by looking over walls and closed doors in dungeons!
 
Experience Points
We decided to add a few more ways to gain experience points to increase the regularity that XP is rewarded throughout the game. We've added minor bestiary, exploration, lock, and trap XP rewards. Bestiary XP is rewarded when new entries are unlocked in the Bestiary page in the Journal, and will stop being rewarded if the entry is complete. Exploration XP is given out when new areas and landmarks are discovered in the world.
 
Glossary
An in game glossary has been added with explanation and definitions of game and combat rules. These entries are hyperlinked so you can easily find information on what you are looking for. You can click directly on keywords in the combat log, or open up the Journal's Glossary page.
 
Hotkeys
Hotkeys can be assigned to any ability on the hot bar and additionally be access through a quick hotkey menu. We still intend to revise how this system works, but please provide feedback if you like or dislike our direction.
 
Additional Fixes
Improved 2D trigger rendering.
Added new targeting indicators.
Added a tab menu to quickly change between full screen UI.
Update the stash UI with separate pages for ingredients and quest items.
Revised lockpick UI for better clarity.
Fixed many save and load inconsistencies.
Fixed issue with perception not effecting the range of spells.
Characters with reach weapons should now attack at a proper distance.
Many fixes to placed traps.

Pas de préco pour moi, j'attends toujour les tests et les patchs, c'est vraiment important le peaufinage et le premier gros patch pour un RPG, mais bon je pense qu'on peut tout de même faire confiance aux devs sur ce titre :)

Sinon cette semaine les développeurs ont joué à leur jeu.
 
Notamment:

Pillars of Eternity est un jeu long. Seuls deux développeurs l'ont terminé pour l'instant: l'un qui avait développé une grosse partie du chemin critique (quête principale j'imagine, NdT) et qui a rushé jusqu'à la fin. L'autre qui a trouvé une fin anticipée et qui a décidé d'arrêter l'histoire à cet endroit. A peu près la moitié des développeurs ne sont pas encore arrivé à Defiance Bay (la première grande ville).

Je trouve particulièrement insultant que tu puisses imaginer qu'un jeu développé par Obsidian puisse contenir des bugs :o

Bonne question par contre - ils parlent d'une "developer play week" mais sans préciser s'ils étaient dessus à 100%.
 
Par contre ils en ont tiré encore un bon paquet d'enseignements sur les ajustements à effectuer en terme de game design (ajouter des capacités à utiliser 1fois par rencontre à bas niveau, baisser les prix des compagnons et équipements à bas niveau, changer le tempo des combats, rajouter des tutos et des tooltips, etc.)

Il manque pas mal de contenu dans la beta actuel mais bon c'est largement jouable et c'est vraiment très agréable de rejouer à un BG like :)

Beta Patch 392

Hello, all. Build 392 is now live for the Backer Beta. Currently, we only have the Windows build up on Steam, but we are looking into the Mac build. If we place it up I will update this post.
 
Important Changes
You will notice quite a few combat balance changes in this build. Be on the lookout and let us know what you think.
You will notice many UI polish changes. Some screens may even be entirely new (loot screen, I'm looking at you).
Most of the icons are now in the game. There are still a few that are missing, but those should be few and far between.
Some final VO is in the game. You will also notice sound sets are in and hooked up.
Skill system has changed back to a point-buy system.
Talents are now organized during level up.
Important Known Issues
It can be difficult to loot bodies sometimes. It can help to try to loot the bodies toward their feet. One workaround is to do a save/load. The body will turn into a loot bag and you will be able to loot it properly.
Saving with a modal active will cause the modal to appear to be non-functioning. If you deactivate and reactivate the modal a couple of times it will start working again.
Pressing the "Take All" button in the Loot UI, if a lootable body is underneath the "Take All" button, will cause the cursor to get stuck. This can prevent you from opening doors or interacting with objects. To clear this you can do a few things: mouse over a loot container, loot anything, transition, or save/load.
The "proof" mods (e.g. Pierce-proof) are not stacking correctly and will have problems after a save/load. Best to avoid those mods for the time being.
Fixed Issues
If an issue has "Needs Verification" after it. It means a fix has been checked in, but QA hasn't checked it yet. These issues are likely fixed, but a few may fail the verification process.
 
Save/Load/Persistence

Première impression après 30mns de test, gros pas en avant ! Tout est bien mieux "terminé"... on croirai presque que le jeu va sortir sous peu. Terminé les icônes absents, les bugs grossier etc... Du tout bon.
Seul les combats restent encore un peu confus, à mon sens.

C'est à dire ? Qu'est-ce que tu appelles "jeu lui-même" ? Sachant que la beta est une partie (3 zones) du jeu hors de l'histoire et avec une équipe "type" permettant de tester le gameplay, rien de plus.

En effet, on a droit juste à quelques "petites quêtes" totalement hors trame... donc dur de juger ce point là.
Maintenant il est évident que le feeling "BG" est là... c'est indéniable.

C'est une beta, ils gardent le meilleur pour la sortie. Je préfère en connaitre le moins possible sur l'histoire, quête etc. pour en profiter un max lors de la sortie ;)

Pour la beta de Wasteland 2 ils se posaient pas cette question x)
 
Que j'ai hâte que ce jeu arrive. J'essaye d'avoir ma dose de jdr mais DA:I schlingue le MMO plus que le jdr.
