Perso je passe d'un Q6600 @3,5 Ghz à un 5820K @4,5 Ghz, la différence est juste énorme.
 
Pour mon usage : jeu 3D, ré-encodage H265 divx, programmation C++, et apprentissage de l'UE4 ça me suffit plus que largement.
 
Je ne pense pas faire évoluer mon PC de sitôt. A part au niveau GPU avec Pascal peut-être.
 
 
Si la plateforme X99 est conservée c'est plutôt une bonne nouvelle. C'est d'ailleurs étonnant que Intel ne change pas de socket ni de chipset...
 
La mauvaise nouvelle c'est la sortie d'une nouvelle gamme -E qui rend rapidement 'obsolète' la précédente.

surtout que j'ai jamais vu aucune "Improve system stability" depuis leur mise à jour ...

 
 
Installé sur ma Deluxe hier soir (j'étais en 19.01):
Le mode XMP 2800 laisse le BCLK à 100 (au lieu de 127.4 auparavant), mais en XMP 3000, le BCLK reste à 125.
Mon O/C est passé à 4.4 Ghz (5820K) au lieu de 4.3 Ghz avant la mise à jour. Le voltage CPU a l'air moins agressif (1.29V actuellement contre 1.33V à 4.3Ghz auparavant)
 
Reste à tester la stabilité maintenant.
 
Edit 09/01: Retour à 4.3 Ghz car pas stable à 4.4. Session de RealBench pendant 3h et de X264 HD Bench: pas de plantage, voltage à 1.276 pour le CPU. (moins élevé qu'avec le bios 19.01)

Tiens y a un bug dans le bios asus x99 deluxe, après un sleep/wakeup, il se met en power limit (et donc très lent).
Restart obligatoire.

j'ai rajouté une vidéo qui montre le fonctionnement,
par rapport a mes choix bios:
 
1.protection courant 300A
2.protection puissance (150W/115W)
3.protection thermique (69°c)
 
Ainsi que le mode adaptatif.

J'avais ce genre de problème dans un ancien bios de la Asus X99-A à la sortie de veille.
 
Parfois forcer le changement de mode dans AI Suite, passer de Auto à Performances, et s'amuser à switcher marchait. Parfois il fallait redémarrer...

Test sur le nouveau bios 2101 sur Asus X99-A avec 4 x 4 Go GSkill DDR4 2400 et Corsair H110.  
 
Stable en load à 100 % et tous usages.
 
Résultats :
 
Core : 45 x 100 = 4,5 Ghz @ 1,21 volts bios - 1.216 volts réels -  : je n'ai pas pu monter en fréquence mais j'ai pu drastiquement baisser le vcore, de 1,26 à 1,21 V.
 
Uncore : toujours à 3,5 Ghz pour 1 volt. Ne tiens pas à moins de volts. C'est cette fréquence d'uncore qui me donne le meilleur débit sur le cache mémoire CPU.
 
Ram : 2933 Mhz pour 1,33 Volts dans le bios - 1,32 volts réels - Je passe de 2666 Mhz à 2933 Mhz.
 
 
Mes températures CPU, cores, et certains voltages en plein test d'encodage vidéo, load 100 % :

Mes températures paraissent très correctes. Qu'en pensez-vous ?
 
Le core le plus chaud ne dépasse pas 64 °C pendant tout le test. Ca me paraît très bien.
 
Seul truc qui me soucie un peu : le Vccin ou CPU VRM qui monte à 1.90 voire 1.92 (visible sur la photo)
 
Ca paraît élevé quand même...

Je suis bien à une fréquence bclk de 100 oui.
 
Après je ne sais pas quel ratio le bios applique à la ram.
 
Je laisse en auto et il gère. (ratio ram et strap c'est en auto chez moi)

J'ai tenté de baisser ce CPU VRM mais rien à faire.
 
Complètement instable si tu baisses ne serait-ce que de 1 à 2 mvolts.
 
Même 1,90 ça ne tient pas.
 
 
Tant pis je reste en auto sur ce paramètre et le laisse comme çà.
 
Je crois qu'avec le bios actuel je ne peux pas faire mieux pour l'instant.
 
Pour l'instant je fixe mon overclock à ces valeurs là et n'y retouche plus.

Bon le bug du powerlimit après un windows 10 sleep/wakeup n'est pas lié au dernier bios, il était déjà présent dans la version 2001 et 1901 de l'Asus x99 Deluxe.
 
J'ai créé un ticket chez Intel et Asus pour qu'ils investigent le problème.
 
J'ai mis à jour le guide pour l'indiquer également.
 
J'ai aussi mis les IO par défaut à 1.05V au lieu de 1.2V et réactivé l'Intel XHCI car sinon le USB superspeed n'est pas dispo sous windows 10.

When the maxpower limitation are set in the bios to limit
the power dissipation on short/long term,
this is working great (seen using the Intel XTU software).
However, when windows 10 is set in sleep mode and then when it wakes up, the machine is power limited at 100% and the machine is then very slow (TPD 21W, minimum frequency).
When the max power is set to 4095W, then the problem does not occur, but then the power limitation cannot be used.
