On ets pas obligé d'avoir le control center, je prend leur pilote je les extrait et j'installe le control panel à part...

les perfs remontent sous BF avec les 5.8 ? (baisse de perf chez moi avec les 5.7 par rapport aux 5.6) y a rien d'indiqué ds les release notes

Tant qu'ils sont pas sur le site d'ATI j'en veux pas.

j'ai une question qui va paraitre peut etre bête pour certains, mais, j'ai une 9800XT et je joue a battlefield 2. mais si je n'ai pas de bug avec BF2 et les autres jeux, est il utile de passer aux cata 5.8 ou je reste aux 5.7?

Je m'avance peut-être mais pour ce qui est des processeur actuels, les vieux Control Panel devraient continuer à fonctionner... en revanche pour la prochaine génération de VPU et les nouvelles fonctionnalités (même pour les anciens VPU, il va y avoir une nouvelle option d'anti-aliasing par example)il y a toutes les chances que ça ne fonctionne qu'avec le CCC.

Mais les options AA moi j'en fiche pas mal

mais est ce que qq'un connaitrait un plug in pour voir le taux de rafraichessement avec ati tray tool ? ou bien autre ?  
 
car malgré les refresh lock comme dans ATI TOOL ou ATI TRAY TOOL je doute que ca soit ok car je vois mes jeux sacadés

Ca y est, les 5.8 sont sortis sur le site officiel ! Et en plus, y'a une nouvelle version des pilotes pour Linux !!

Rhoo, encore est toujours des BenchmArck qui servent à rien =)
Je pense que 90% des gens préférerais des jeux qui ne bug pas que d'avoir 1-2Fps en Plus lol
 
Par contre +1 les catalyst pour Linux car ils ont mis un install automatisée ce qui est trés bien.
 
Comme je viens de reçevoir ma 9800pro je vais bientot installé les cata 5.8+ati tray tools

 
 
(méthode d'install utilisée: j'utilise cat-uninstaller, pour désinstallation propre, puis je réinstalle les drivers)
 
c là où je ne comprends pas mon cas :
il faut que je vérifie en retestant les 5.7, mais à première vue, quand je passe aux 5.8 je perds un gros framerate (de l'ordre de 20-30% !) sous farcry (au moins).
 
y a un truc qui m'a échappé ?

sauf que c'est le désinstalleur fourni par ATI (rq: les désintaller marchent très bien quand on fait les choses comme il faut, j'étais par exemple passé l'an dernier sans pb d'une geforce ti 4200 à une 9800 pro, en nettoyant les drivers nvidia avec driverscleaner)
 
est-ce que le pb peut venir du fait que ne ne désinstalle ps ATITOOL en même temps que les 5.7 ?
 
en fait les perfs que j'obtiens sont à peu de choses près (un peu mieux) celles que j'avais avec ma 9800 pro. comme les test de drivers ne montrent pas de différence notable entre les différents drivers, il y a un pb qqe part

Ben moi je les ai installe , jouer sur guildwars a fond , et ben il sont bien j trouve ^^
Pas de plantage sur ce jeu avec ma x800pro

Bah moi j'ai une 9800 XT, ça fait un p'ti moment que j'vois plus de différence entre les drivers.    
 
Mais je les installe quand même, que je dire de plus à part qu'ils fonctionnent très bien.

BF2 me semble un peu plus fluide chez moi  

 
tu as bien fait de continuer a les instaler car ils ne font pas que des optimisations mais aussi corrige les bug pour certains jeux

Dommage qu'en perf ça bouge pas trop pour moi...

Moi perso je pense qu il est difficile de voir su un jeu ONLINE si les driver ameliore la fluidite , car souvent le lag vient seme le trouble.
Genre battlefields 2 pour ne citer que lui.
Pareil sur guildwars , il arrive que dans certaine ville ben ca rame ,alors que dans d autre s est tres fluide.
