D'ailleurs, quand je fais juste un ps-r, j'ai rien, juste l'affichage du pid de mon 'ps'

l'option '-r' me semble bizarre à utiliser quand même, parce que je l'ai fait plusieurs fois de suite, et des fois j'avais un autre processus, et des fois rien.
donc le problème vient bien du fait qu'il ne trouve pas le pid du mplayer...
moi je fais un ps -aux |grep mplayer et là c'est bon.

Moi aussi ça ne fait rien, alors que tuxrip071 marche chez moi. ps -a est nécessaire pour voir le pid de mplayer.

Bon, on va essayer autre chose :

pid=`ps -C init -o pid=` && echo $pid

Ca devrait vous renvoyer uniquement 1.
OK ?

maintenant vous lancez mplayer
puis

pid=`ps -C mplayer -o pid=` && echo $pid

ça doit vous donner le pid de mplayer (vérifiez avec top).

C'est bon ?

Bonjour , je suis un nouveau sur ce thread ( mais j'ai un peu lu quand même ) Il est excellent votre script.

Sinon je confirme , j'ai exactement la même erreur que gart_lkc sur un DVD zone 1 ( U-571 ) , j'ai dû faire un --resume avec la version précédente de tuxrip pour faire l'encodage:

Mais j'ai eu aussi un probléme au préview, pour déterminer l'heure du générique, mplayer ne se lancait pas , mais me faisait des "splashscreen" trés rapides, je l'ai arrété en appuyant sur ECHAP .

Exact , c'est le pid avec tail.
Mais est ce que l'option "r" de ps donne juste le "running" process du "moment" ?
Par exemple sur ma machine quand je fait

puis dans une autre console

merci beaucoup pour ce retour instructif.

Je vais essayer autre chose pour le pid, bizarre que ça marche chez moi. OK pour l'avant dernier chapitre. J'avais pas encore vu un DVD avec le chapitre à l'extreme fin, c'est tordu comme truc. Et comme je joue mplayer avec -loop 0, et bah ça devait faire des splashscreen, en effet.

Si vous le souhaitez je sort une petite release en virant le pid et en jouant l'avant dernier chapitre, dans l'après-midi...

encore merci.

Sinon, pour ton DVD zone 1, ça m'interesserai d'avoir le fichier log, stp. (dans le repertoire tmp de ton projet).

l'idée était de le faire avant le rip. Mais je vais envisagé la chose dans le cadre de la refonte que je souhaite faire pour le mode "job list".

2 modifs :
1) on lit l'avant dernier chapitre pour la recherche du début de générique de fin. Rien ne vous empeche de naviguer avant ou après ce chapitre mais c'est lu en boucle à partir du de l'avant dernier chapitre (sauf dans le mode --test n).
2) j'ai viré l'affichage simplifié de mencoder puisque ça merdouillait chez plusieurs personnes. Maintenant tout est affiché comme avant. En attendant de trouver une solution meilleure...

Quand tu as fait --configure avec tuxrip, quel video driver tu as spécifié ? Tu as bien choisi un driver qui marche sur ton système ? (xv, x11 ou sdl)

je ne pense pas que ça vienne de ça, on ne fait pas d'affichage à ce niveau donc le driver video n'intervient pas.

Y a un probleme d'installation de mplayer visiblement, c'est pas du au script. Enfin, je ne pense pas...

Essai à la main
"mencoder -nosound -frames 200 -ovc lavc monfichier.vob -o essai.avi" pour encoder 200 frames du vob. Tu verras si ça marche.

Essai aussi avec
"mencoder -nosound -frames 200 -ovc lavc monfichier.vob -o essai.avi -vop pp=lb -ofps 24" puisque ton vob est NTSC.

Au fait est ce que le script t'affiche : echo "DVD NTSC détecté : options '-vop pp=lb' et '-ofps 24' utilisées" ?

ça marche aussi, mais j'ai des "Skipping frame!" pendant le codage.

pour l'histoire de la detection ntsc, je n'ai pas vu cette détection. Mais elle est faite comment ? Puisque c'est un DVD zone 2, en PAL normalement. Enfin, c'est ce qu'il y a d'écrit sur la boite :-)
Y'aurais pas un truc de ce côté là ?

Vu que je suis un flemmard, j'ai laissé les options par défaut de tuxrip. J'utilise juste l'option de désentrelacement, sinon c'est du tout par défaut pour la vidéo.

Pourquoi tu désentrelaces pour du PAL zone 2 ? C'est peut-etre un bonus, tu me diras...

je désentrelace parce qu'il y en a besoin, tout simplement. Ce sont des DVD zone 2, mais entrelacés.

Oui , j'ai le DVD zone 1 en NTSC et le script m'affiche bien qu'il est en NTSC, et à part l'erreur du "PID" il encode bien le film (pour comparaison , j'ai une bien meilleure qualité du film qu'avec neodivx et divx501 )

Oups, j'ai parlé trop vite pour mon DVD zone 1 NTSC !
j'avais fait un --résume avec tuxrip065 pour encoder le film

Sinon pour la version tuxrip072 il n'encode plus du tout (peut être qu'il me manque une librairie sur mon systéme ? )
Par contre il n'ya plus d'erreur de "PID" et la détermination de l'heure du générique est précise.

J'ai fait un essai hier sur un DVD zone 1 et je n'ai pas eu de problèmes. J'ai quelques problèmes avec la dernière version de libdvdread/libdvdcss, mais c'est un problème des paquets PLF pour mandrake, car la version précédente fonctionne correctement. Et comme mplayer n'utilise pas libdvdcss mais un autre algorithme, ça marchait.

finalement, le 072 à l'ai de marcher chez moi. J'ai eu ce matin un autre problème, mais je vais voir d'abord si c'est pas du à autre chose avant de vous en parler.
Donc maintenant, j'ai (presque) plus de problèmes, le 072 semble bien marcher

>dsds : j'ai bien regardé tes logs, tu peux essayer de lancer la 072 et la 065 en mode --verif-prefs, pour être sur qu'il n'y a pas de problème, et également affiché les fichiers log générés par les 2 scripts ($RACINE/$projet/tmp/log). En faisant 2 ecodages dans 2 rep différents et sans utiliser le mode resume entre les 2 scripts.

dsds : tu as compilé toi-meme mplayer ?

J'ai fait des essais hier soir. J'utilise maintenant Mandrake cooker (développement) en stabilisation, et tuxrip ne fonctionne plus avec le mplayer/mencoder fourni en rpm. Au moment de la détection du format avant choix de la taille du support (le cropping se passe bien par contre), j'ai plein de parse errors et de divisions par zéro. Par contre, après recompilation moi-meme à partir des sources, ça marche sans problème.
Ca signifie que les options de compilation de mplayer sont très importantes, car tuxrip détecte les chaines de sortie de MPlayer. Je vais comparer les versions et voir les différences pour savoir ce qui ne va pas (je ne sais pas encore).

D'autre part mencoder indique qu'il détecte le téléciné et réduit à 23.97 fps le NTSC, ce qui pourrait permettre de se débarrasser du rééchantillonage dans tuxrip, et surtout du filtre de désentrelacement, qui introduit un peu de flou dans l'image. Mais c'est à voir plus tard.

Je débarque sur le forum (enfin, ca fait trois jours que je buche les 2 sujets...) Je dois dire que beaucoup de choses me paraissent plus clair maintenant! J'ai aussi lu le script qui est plutôt excellent.
Des petites remarques :

Aspect ratio
J'ai comparé les résultats des calculs proposés ici avec ceux de Gordiant Knot et ... il sont différents.
J'ai donc bataillé pour comprendre pourquoi et en fait Knot utilise pour ARa :
4:3 --> 1.366
16:9 --> 1.821
Si quelqu'un a une explication ?

C)Qu'est ce que le test de compressibilité ?
J'ai implémenté le concept présent dans le soft gordianknot sous win$.

On réalise un encodage à quantizer constant fixé à 2 (donc parfait) d'un "morceau" de film.
On calcule le CQ correspondant à ce morceau de film que j'appelle CQmax puisque c'est celui obtenu avec des quantizers fixé à 2, ce qui ne se passera pas dans le vrai encodage.
Tout repose sur le choix du "morceau" à encoder ! Le + représentatif du film est d'encoder des petits morceaux un peu partout entre le début et la fin du film. Et plus ces morceaux sont gros, plus on représente bien le film mais + c'est long.

Ensuite on définit le % de compressibilité :

%comp = CQreel / CQmax * 100

qui représente donc le pourcentage de qualité que l'on va obtenir par rapport à l'optimum représenté par CQmax.

En pratique, comment je l'ai implémenté dans tuxrip :
Je fais l'étape support, calcul du bitrate vidéo, CQ visé, calcul résolution, calcul CQréel.
Ensuite si l'option "--test-comp", je demance le % de film à tester.
1) Je découpe virtuellement mon film en 100 morceaux également réparti (je récupère la taille du vob et la divise par 100 pour connaitre le début de mes échantillons).
2) Je déduis du % de film à tester, la longueur des échantillons à encoder.
3) J'encode avec mencoder mes 100 échantillons à q=2.
4) Je merge mes 100 fichiers avi avec avimerge et je récupère la taille et la durée de ce fichier mergé.
5) J'en déduis le bitrate moyen de ce fichier et donc CQmax.
6) J'affiche un choix de résolution et les valeurs CQréel et % comp correspondantes.
7) Il est conseillé de choisir une résolution telle que 40%<%comp<60%. Ces valeurs sont expérimentales, il est possible que 30-35% conviennent à peu près avec les excellent codecs lavc et xvid.

Merci pour tes réponces, surtout aussi rapide !

J'ai posté le script car il me semble que le tient effectue un test de crop à un moment précis du DVD et si le résultat ne plait pas, il recomence un peu plus loin dans le DVD, mais ne tient pas compte des anciens résultats trouvés. Peut-être ai-je mal compris le script ?
Le mien effectue les test tous les 10% et laisse mplayer décider du crop sur l'enssemble du DVD.

Je me suis peut-être mal exprimé. Je veux dire que mplayer va déterminer le crop sur l'ensseble des parties testés et non pas seulement la dernière.
Execute le script, tu comprendra :-)
