ah c'est le nombre de min dispo qui te parait etrange? ben c'est ce qu'is annoncent...le codec devrait etre dispo sur leur site a la sortie du truc...

ben je compte me prendre un tuner (45? in je commande avec un pote) qui a des entrées composite + un lecteur vcd/mp3/cda que j'ai deja avec compo out ^^

pour ceux qui n'ont rien ca revient plus cher, faut voir

tout va dependre de ce qui sera fournis avec, a partir du moment ou soit le codec soit une appli sera fourni pour convertire les video ca sera gagné

sinon a part liksang il y a d'autre site qui en parle

AM3 Inc, the maker of the SmartMedia Adapter, initially released one of the most popular animation programs in Japan: Detective Conan by Gosho Aoyama. AM3 will also soon start to offer movie downloads through their web site, and eventually also install KIOSK terminals called "Advance Gacha-Gacha" into Japanese convenience stores.
 
The hardware is not just a plain movie and image player, it supports menu functions similar to DVD players that allow content creators to create interactive content and menu systems like we all know from DVD movies. In order to limit piracy on the platform, they have built in an RSA Public Key system and utilize the Unique ID system of the SmartMedia cards.
 
Because am3's shareholders are Toshiba, IMAGICA, Yamaichi, Bandai and other high profile corporations, it is very likely that a huge selection of content is available for the am3 player very soon. No details of an overseas release have been announced by am3 as of yet.

If I rip a DVD to mpg format (or any other movie file fromat) could I then convert it to the proprietry format and watch the movie?
This device can only play specific file formats. If there will be "hacks" for this device, you'll be able to write your own files. But now you'll have to buy original cards with movies/music.

Yes, with am3's official gameboy charger you'll be able to use your computer to load small movie clips onto a blank smart card via a smart card reader. Smart cards with larger capacities will be able to hold much larger movie/video clips.

No it is just for use with the smart media player application for multimedia files.

par contre ce qui est bizard c'est que sur lik-sang ils parlent de SM card de 256Mo alor qu'on n'en trouve pas au dessu de 128Mo

zut y a aucun site qui en parle et les site officiel de la boite qui vent le lecteur de celle qui fait le codec n'ont toujour pas bougé

pour le moment pas de codec dispo (et au train ou c parti il va etre payant ) donc c'est dtc pour le moment si tu veux charger tes propres film sur ta propre carte

j'ai demandé a lik-sang si les codecs etaient fournis, pas de reponse, et le site du constructeur ainsi que du dev du codec n'ont pas bougé

je doute qu'ils soient exploitable sous cette forme via virtualdub
 
d'un autre cote c'est pas plus mal je viens d'avoir un apn et plus trop de sous pour le lecteur

En gros, on peut mettre sur GBA ses propres divx, et des films entiers sans probleme !!    

oui celui la il a l'air de dechirer paske CF=moins cher et puis tu passe ce que tu veux comme video, meme ripper dvd...fichiers txt mais ça a l'air plus gros que l'autre, et pis il manque des photos sur gba normale

ce n'est pas un lecteur de smart media mais de compact flash d'ou la taille plus importante

interessant en plus le soft de convertion est deja dispo en d/l sur lik sang

je sens que je vais pas tarder a commander

j'ai testé le logiciel de conversion ben euh faudra de grosses compact flash pour un film et c'est pas donné

sur le site ils disent que pour l'instant leur algo de compression est optimisé pour les animes, ils parlent de 60minutes sur une 128Mo en utilisant le "Animation-Normal Mode"  
 
par contre je sais pas a combien de fps la video est joué sur gba

c'est pour ca qu'on est sur le nouveau lecteur en comptact flash qui à l'avantage de permetre de ripper ses propre video contrairement au lecteur smart media

pas de smart media au dessus de 128mb ou alors le voltage change, et ca marche plus.
