L'homme qui toise Himmler est Horace Greasle, un prisonnier de guerre anglais mort en 2010 qui raconta dans un livre (confirmé par d'autres témoignages) comment il s'échappa plus d'une centaine de fois de son camp pour retrouver une femme allemande avec qui il avait une liaison. Sur la photo il demande une augmentation des rations de nourriture, il avait enlevé sa chemise pour montrer à quel point il était maigre.
