PSG keen on Farnerud

French giants Paris Saint Germain are reportedly keen to prise Pontus Farnerud away from title rivals Monaco. The 24-year-old Sweden international spent last season on-loan at Strasbourg and the player admits it is unlikely he will be returning to the Principality outfit. ''I have talked to the sports director at PSG, their midfield is a bit over crowded right now and they hope to sell a player to make space for me,'' Farnerud told DN. ''They've got the ball right now and they know I am interested. ''Monaco would probably prefer to sell me as I have just one more year left on my contract. ''At the moment, it is Monaco that matters, we will see what happens before the transfer deadline.''
