Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed he is considering making a bid for England captain David Beckham. Wenger is keen to add some experienced players to his squad during the close season and admitted Beckham could be a target if Real Madrid decided to sell. He told the News of the World: "We will have some money to spend in the summer and if there was a chance to sign David Beckham, we would look at it."If the situation arises that it is possible, why not?" The midfielder says he is not going anywhere, however. "When I leave here, I want to say that I have had one very good season for Real Madrid, winning the league, the cup and the Champions League," Beckham said. "Fortunately I will be here for several more years and I want to win something important." If Beckham is offloaded by Madrid there is only Arsenal that could be a possible destination in the Premiership. He'd not be welcome back at Old Trafford (whilst Fergie is there), Mourinho doesn't rate him and he'd never sign for Liverpool - and no one else could afford him.
 
Arsene Wenger is sure to be concerned by Barcelona president Joan Laporta's declaration that he wants to sign Henry to play alongside Ronaldinho and Samuel Eto'o. "The player I want here is Henry," revealed Laporta. "But he would have to come this summer because it is a question of his age as well." Henry, 27, has previously stated he is happy to spend the rest of his career with Arsenal, but could be tempted by the prospect of launching a serious assault on the Champions League with Barca next season. Arsenal's board are already steeling themselves for a new bid for captain Patrick Vieira from Real Madrid and it appears the club are facing another summer of uncertainty over the future of their star players.
 
Sky Sports are reporting that Liverpool are planning a move for Juventus playmaker Olivier Kapo. The former Auxerre man has failed to make an impact at Stadio Delle Alpi after an injury-ridden season, and Rafa Benitez very keen to give him his chance in the Premiership. Loan deals involving Palermo, Sampdoria and Fiorentina have also been discussed, but Liverpool are favourites as Djibril Cisse, is very good friends with the midfielder and is 'wooing' him. Before making the move to the Bianconeri, Kapo enjoyed an impressive reputation after breaking into the French national team, and could seek to move in a bid to rejuvenate his career.
