Universal France confirme aujourd’hui la sortie prochaine de l’édition Blu-ray 3D de la troupe des Nitro Circus. Cette édition sera disponible en France le 25 juin prochain. Il s’agira d’un Combo Blu-ray 3D + Blu-ray. Aucune édition Blu-ray 2D standard ne sera commercialisée.

Les Nitro Circus sont connus pour être une bande de cascadeurs déjantés animant une émission de téléréalité diffusée sur MTV2.

Le film sera présenté au format 1080p. Il sera accompagné d’une version originale au format DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 et d’une version française au format DTS 5.1. Introduction, bande-annonce, Interview de Steve-O, et Bêtisier Gore forment la liste des suppléments bonus de cette édition.

Mettant en scène Rachel McAdams et Noomi Rapace, Passion a été officialisé dans nos contrées françaises en Blu-Ray par le studio ARP Sélections.
Le film de Brian De Palma arrivera le 18 Juin prochain.

Cela faisait quelques semaines que nous guettions les annonces de Arrow Video qui de toute évidence devaient arriver ce mois-ci. Les nostalgiques de feu La 5 apprécieront la sortie de cette série B au postulat de départ proche de Christine de Carpenter (réalisé 3 ans plus tard) et Maximum overdrive de Stephen King (réalisé 6 ans plus tard). Mis en scène par l’auteur de Cat Ballou et Un Homme nommé Cheval, l’histoire de cette voiture maudite dont le klaxon si particulier a marqué de nombreux rats de vidéoclubs va bénéficier d’une sortie blu-ray.

En DVD uniquement, ce slasher dans la plus pure tradition des années 80 et qui est considéré comme le haut du panier. A raison ? Détail amusant, Vera Miles (Psychose, La Prisonnière du désert) interprète le rôle de cette petite production. les bonus hormis un livret ne sont pas révélés à l’heure actuelle.

■Deranged de Roberts Blossom (12 août 2013)
 
Voilà la vraie bonne surprise de cette sélection (même si le film avait été plus qu’évoqué par l’éditeur). Une vraie pépite qui dépasse son statut de série B pour vraiment déranger et troubler son spectateur. Si le DVD existe chez nous à petit prix, le Blu-ray et ses nombreux suppléments pourraient en intéresser plus d’un.

Arrow nous avait prévu des titres totalement inédits, mais là encore, il s’agit d’un disque déjà existant en DVD et en Blu-ray aux USA. mais le travail effectué ici sur le premier long-métrage de Terry Gilliam, qui a approuvé le master et qui participe aux suppléments inédits devraient là encore en séduite plus d’un.

Considéré à raison comme l’une des plus grandes réussites de Roger Corman, cette adaptation très libre d’Edgar Allan Poe, interprétée par Mark Damon et Vincent Price, saura convaincre les possesseurs du DVD français (ou américain, ou anglais, etc…) pour peu que le master haute définition soit de qualité. Du bon gros bis qui tâche avec Squirm, réalisé par Jeff Lieberman, à qui l’on doit Survivance, Le Rayon bleu ou Meurtres en VHS (dont nosu vous parlions il y a peu). Il ne fait pas toujours nuit, les vers ne sont pas spécialement géants, mais le film se regarde avec un certain plaisir. En DVD ou en Blu-ray pour ls amateurs.

Totalement méconnu, le film a la particularité d’être apprécié par Eli Roth, ce qui n’est pas forcément bon signe. Le réalisateur d’Hostel sera d’ailleurs présent dans le livret pour défendre son point de vue. La sortie en Blu-ray est pour le moins audacieuse, mais gageons que ça augure d’une belle découverte…

Un programme qui attaque littéralement un marché en crise, et qui, s’il promet plus qu’il offre (a force de se vanter de ne proposer pas les mêmes films que ses confrères), demeure intéressant pour quelques titres. Nous aurions aimés plus de titres transalpins signés Mario Bava comme Arrow nous sort depuis quelques mois. La suite à la rentrée ?
