I recently made this update on my 901.
In fact, I have a 16GB drive model. Not sure about anything at first, I installed like you PCI-e> msata adapter instead of this one.
After that, I pasted 64GB sdd from KingSpec msata, then i updated the latest bios (v2103). Only this disk is present, recognized immediately upon startup.
It seems clear that with your configuration, the basic 4go disk has native priority on startup by default except that each time you have to adjust it by walking in order of priority.
The only solution for you is to delete the 4go disk. However, it remains to be seen if this disc is removable on your model given that some models were welded to this primary disc in particular in the 900 series. Although it is necessary to re-engineer the computer back to access it, I think it is worth it To try. Many online tutorials are available if you feel this.
