Son ouvrage La Religion woke (2022), basé sur une vaste documentation, défend l’idée que le « wokisme » est une religion, notamment en raison de son refus, présent dans la théorie du genre, de la réalité physique et de ses limites[5],[6]. Selon Braunstein, la pensée woke est fondée sur une critique du rationalisme, des Lumières et de l’humanisme[7]. C'est un critique du transhumanisme[8].

Cette origine universitaire de la religion woke a une autre conséquence, tout aussi importante, d’un point de vue social : dans la mesure où nos sociétés sont devenues des « sociétés de la connaissance », la conversion des universités à la religion woke fait que celle-ci s’est très rapidement étendue dans l’ensemble de la société. Les conséquences en sont déjà très notables sur les enseignants du primaire et du secondaire, sur les médias et les industries culturelles, mais aussi sur les entreprises, et en premier lieu les GAFAM qui diffusent avec ferveur cette nouvelle religion : les wokes sont en quelque sorte le clergé de ces nouveaux féodaux que sont les GAFAM29. Les plus cyniques des universitaires font d’ailleurs confiance aux industries culturelles pour effacer les dernières poches de résistance contre leur idéologie woke. Les séries de Netflix sont en général d’une parfaite conformité aux critères wokes. Google fait aussi en sorte que ses algorithmes de recherche livrent des résultats conformes aux exigences wokes. Douglas Murray donne une série d’exemples étonnants : si vous tapez « couple hétéro » dans Google images, au moins un couple sur cinq est gay, et plus encore si on tape « couples hétéros » au pluriel, alors que si vous tapez « couple gay », vous n’avez que des images de couples gays. En revanche si vous faites ces recherches dans des langues non européennes et les moteurs de recherches correspondants, ces biais n’existeront plus. Murray conclut : « On a le sentiment qu’une intention, une intervention humaine, vient se superposer à une certaine dose d’apprentissage automatique30. »  

The governor's general counsel, Ryan Newman, said, in general, it means "the belief there are systemic injustices in American society and the need to address them."  

He added that DeSantis doesn't believe there are systemic injustices in the country,

BEIJING, Feb 13 (Reuters) - China said on Monday that U.S. high altitude balloons had flown over its airspace without permission more than 10 times since the beginning of 2022, widening a diplomatic row after the U.S. military shot down what it says was a Chinese spy balloon.

"Since last year, the U.S.'s high-altitude balloons have undergone more than 10 illegal flights into Chinese airspace without the approval of the relevant Chinese departments," Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said at a regular briefing in Beijing in response to a question.

Wang did not specifically describe the balloons as military or for espionage purposes and did not provide further details.

Asked how China had responded to such incursions into its airspace, Wang said its responses had been "responsible and professional".

The U.S. defense department did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

China's assertion comes after the United States shot down what it says was a Chinese spy balloon off the coast of South Carolina on Feb. 4 after it had drifted across the continental United States for days.

Ramaswamy’s self-confidence barometer is off the charts. When talking to his Iowa host Bruere, Ramaswamy speculated that if he were to jump in the race and start polling well, DeSantis might reconsider running. (To be clear, we’ll sooner see snow in Miami.)
