Topic unique sur le buzz de l'année. Annoncé depuis plus de 6 mois à grand coup de vidéos filmées à l'épaule ne montrant rien d'autre qu'un truc énorme attaquant New York... Produit par J.J Abrams (Lost...), on peut s'attendre à un truc mystérieux au possible...

Five young New Yorkers throw their friend a going-away party the night that a monster the size of a skyscraper descends upon the city. Told from the point of view of their video camera, the film is a document of their attempt to survive the most surreal, horrifying event of their lives.

On n'en saura pas plus, pas d'infos sur le type de monstre, ni sur un éventuel scénario un peu plus "étoffé".
Il semblerait d'après des sources ayant vu le film qu'il y aurait plusieurs monstres, un gros et des petits.

Un film centré sur Cthulhu ?

Bad Robot, la société de production de J.J. Abrams, ayant acquis en 2003 les droits cinématographiques de la nouvelle L'Appel de Cthulhu (1926) de Howard Phillips Lovecraft, J.J. Abrams produit actuellement le film 1-18-08, libre adaptation moderne de l'œuvre. D'après David Fury, ce sont des recherches effectuées sur l'origine du Bloop enregistré par le National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) en 1997 qui auraient inspiré J.J. Abrams, dans un premier temps pour un nouveau projet de série télévisée. Celui-ci fut abandonné en décembre 2005 au profit du film 1-18-08.

L'origine du titre du film : It was, in fact, one of Abrams’ and Burk’s agents, John Fogelman, who, having seen the word “monster” one too many times in private e-mail correspondence, suggested calling the project CLOVERFIELD, after a main street near Abrams’ office in West Los Angeles. “We started working on the movie, and it became like a nickname. But we thought, ‘There’s no way that’s going to be the title of the movie,’” Abrams recalls. “We even had another title, GREYSHOT, the name of the bridge that Rob and Beth are hiding under in Central Park at the end of the film, which we were all set to announce at Comic-Con. But, by that time, the name CLOVERFIELD had already leaked out, and the fans already knew it by that name, so we just decided to stick with that.”

I ain't no nice guy after all

Le whois sur le domaine donne pas grand chose... l'adresse et le nom son bidon, le numéro de téléphone donne pas grand chose (on tombe sur un passage en boucle de l'enregistrement de conversation de la tour de contrôle de Cloverfield Airport) mais en creusant un peu on peut tomber sur un album de photos prises lors du tournage du teaser, nom de code du film "Cheese"... (non je donnerai pas l'URL, apperement Paramount et sa cohorte d'avocat on l'air pas très détendu sur le sujet )

Bien aimé le trailer. P'tite fête sympatoche filmée à l'amateur et d'un coup la ville en pagaille, sans qu'on sache vraiment quoi. Nan sérieux il a bien rempli son rôle, à savoir titiller ma curiosité. Wait 'n' See.
