One of the main priorities while creating this package was, to keep playabilty
as good as possible on most of computer systems, low spec and high end
(especially regarding 3rd party track graphics updates). So there were some
compromises neccessary regarding polycount . Of course it would have been
possible to create smoother models with more polygons and sharper, more detailed
textures with bigger filesizes, but we decided to do it the way we did to ensure
that this package will run within quite similar specifications as the original
game. We also didn't use the bmp->jpg trick to achieve high res textures with
small file sizes, because there was an unacceptable loss in quality, especially
on clean colors.
