Why did it take longer than we originally thought? It's a fair question. The simple answer is once we saw what we could have had earlier it wasn't good enough and we wanted to put something out that we would be proud of. What you'll be playing January 15th is a really fun game, but it's early. It's everything Early Access should be - a fun and compelling game that isn't finished. Is it going to be a finished game? Absolutely not. If that's what you're expecting, DO NOT BUY EARLY ACCESS. The goal here is to let you in early and help us mold it into a game you want to be a part of for quite a long time.
 
We'll have 2 SKUS when we launch. The basic early access sku for $19.99 - which will let you into the game and have a great time, and a more expensive one which we'll announce here shortly. The difference between the two will be things like access to some of our different game mode servers (which you can get access to by purchasing tickets or earning them as well) and other specifics we'll be outlining soon.
 
Is H1Z1 going to be better than Day Z day 1? No it won't. We'll get asked that question a lot and I wanted to be up front about it. We're not as feature rich and they have a lot of really cool stuff we just don't have yet. That being said, we're also a different game. We're an MMO and our goals are to create a large scale world that gives you the incredible feeling of being a survivor in a zombie apocalypse.
 
We'll be starting out with roughly 64k square Kilometers, but we plan to grow it right away.. and over time create our virtual version of the US post apocalypse. Look for us to start adding land right away post launch.

Bah je sais pas j'ai pas joué à Dayz, mais 25 km * 25 km ça fait déjà de belles balades  :D

Peu importante la taille de la map, tant qu'elle est bien réalisé, qu'elle ne soit pas vide, que ce ne soit pas un copier coller a chaque virage
 
Ca promet de belles balades , et surtout pouvoir s'etablir ds des coins sans être emmerdés toutes les 2 min

J'ai pas assez suivi pour savoir ca, peut etre, mais dans ce cas faudra bien la remplir, ou alors multiplier les véhicules sinon si c'est pour faire 3 heures de marche pour avoir une ville, ca va pas le faire :D

j'adore DayZ mais c'est pas compliqué de faire mieux à mon avis.

 

Gestion faim/soif/température et blessures, des zombies pas ridicules et avec de vraies animations, des véhicules dès le début sur une grande map détaillée, un aspect social plus travaillé avec possibilité de construire une sorte de camp ou QG (au moins on a un but, protection, ravitaillement, conquête..), une réalisation globale dans l'ère du temps...... On a mieux que DayZ.

juste pour info, la question sur DayZ c etait limite du troll hein :O le mec en a marre de la comparaison et la joue modeste/hommage, mais de ce que l on a vu pour l instant, ça devrait être bien mieux fini, sans Z qui passent a travers les murs.... ou comment éviter le syndrome de l éternelle Alpha qui touche DayZ.... apres c est sur on ne pourra pas faire de cannibalisme comme dans DayZ, et il manquera d autres features survivalistes a l extrême, mais bon si ça peut éviter de tomber dans la simulation de randonnée militaire, ça me va très bien :O

We'll be figuring out other Event Server types down the line and offer prizing, etc for people who participate. Very similar to what Hearthstone does with The Arena.

  • Probably not chop limbs off. Most of the team is sad about it, but it's not the kind of game they want to make.

  • Will be a map. Map Signs in the world, no GUI map. You can find them and find out where you are based on in world objects. (this is cool). Post EA they want a brochure that has a map.

  •  Trading: Yes, not in EA. You can drop stuff on the ground... old diablo style.

  • Bleeding: Yes. Chance to bleed based on type of weapon. Blunt weapon probably not gonna make you bleed. Sharp will. More bleeding requires more bandages.

   

  • Cities bigger than the town they have now: ABSOLUTELY. Working on an engine upgrade to give thousands of square km. Will get bigger cities. They want urban apaclypse.

 

  • Can you blow stuff up: "Come on man, yes"

   

  • Can you catch/spread the h1z1 virus: Yes, disabled for now.

   

  • You can get infected by getting attacked by zombies.

 

  • Can forcibly inject H1Z1 into other peoples by getting a blood syringe from a zombies and stick them.

 

  • Will lose human abilities and sights, will start craving flesh. Normal food cannot sustain you when you are h1z1'd.

 

  • Will come after EA soon.

   

  • No beard growing. Smed can't grow one either.

 

  • Fishing: Yes.

 

  • Most of the devs prefer 1st person. Will have servers that dont allow 3rd.

 

  • Boats: Yes, not day1.

 

  • Can you cure H1Z1? "What would be the fun of that? No".

 

  • You can sustain with it with crafting, can mitigate it with medicine, very rare.

 

  • Can you eat other players? Hopefully

  • What you wear has an impact on how cold and how much damage you take.

  • Night only servers? No. If you really want it, they'll do it.

  •  Pay to Win? It's about as far away from pay to win as it can get.

 

  •  How long is EA: Unknown. Want 4-6 weeks months until beta

 

  • Caves? No, but there are basements.

 

  •  Seasons: Yes, but Spring/Summer right now with limited winter. They are getting there.

 

  •  What separates H1Z1 from other Zombie games? It's an MMO, Will have largest map, world is living with zombies part of the world unlike other games. It's similar, but there is very unique flavor to the game. Will be *Way more fun in the long term

 

  •  Engine: Forgelight. Planetside 2's engine.

 

  • Biomes: There will be other biomes, right now it feels Pacific NorthWest, but it's up to us to decide what they do next based on feedback.

 

  • Night Vision: Not for Early Access. Needs some work.

 

  •  Scavenging gives deteriorated items. Crafting is better for quality. Creating a base is best.

 

  • How long has the world been filled with zombies: Weeks to months. Feels better, gives more room to have certain areas pristine and others really messed up. 15 years put too much pressure on art team to make everything feel overgrown.

 

  • Random zombie spawns

 

  •  Grouping zombies based on player noise.

 

  •  You can repair items.

 

  •  Two different bows. Not an upgrade.

 

  •  Bulletdrop: Yes.

 

  •  Can make ground mound and out items in it.

 

  • Besides noise, what attracts zombies: Movement, smell, sight.

 

  • Tornados: Clegg wants lighting. Probably.

   

  • Customizing Cars: Yes. You can take different parts. No sick rims.

 

  • You can take a headlight out from a car, and can place it as a spot light.

 

  • Big guns? Not early access. They want to blow everything up, so coming.

 

  •  Sewers: No

 

  • Will zombies climb over eachother: No. They will interact with eachother.

 

  • Can you create distractions for zombies? Yes. Police car sirens.

 

  • Can spook a deer, make them run past a zombie to attract a zombies.

   

  • Barricades: You can barricades. You can barricade doors and windows. Currently zombies dont attack it, but they want to do that.

 

  • A horde of zombies is SUPER DANGEROUS. They think it might be a bit too hard. You can fill your entire inventory with arrows and you can't survive a horde.

 

  • Can you build a power source? Not in Early Access.

 

  •  Pull out of cars? No, want to add it.

 

  •  Can throw rocks.

 

  • Hunger game servers confirmed. Will be in Day1 (YESSSSSSSS). This is the ticketing system that Smed was talking about. Think of it like a Hearthstone Arena system. You will get something out of it.

   

  • Stats get better the longer you survive. As you sprint more, it takes less stamina. As you build fire, the fire lasts longer since you are better at it. Makes you want to keep your character.

 

  • Zombies holding knives? No. Thinking about it.

 

  • VOIP attracting zombies? Eventually.

 

  •  Esports: If you can do it, go for it.

 

  • Trees will regenerate, slowly.

 

  • Can you lure zombies to attack player? Not directly. But you can lure them around and leave them places.

 

  • Audio is fantastic. Super cool, really realistic, lots of sounds makes it awesome. Check out the blog.

 

  • How persistent is the building? Yes. They did a ton of work on peristant. The servers will last a very long time before things respawn, they spent a lot of time on it. Very persistant

Pour comparaison la map de DayZ SA fait 225km² (15*15) en comptant la mer.

Je tacle dayz, certes, mais avec amour :)
 
J ai donne tellement d heures sur dayz, et j en passe encore, que j ai bien glané le droit de lui trouver des défauts :P
 
Bon vivement le 15, hâte de voir si l attente en vaut la peine.

J attends de voir ce qu'il va donner.

 

Sur dayz les bugs ne me gênent pas.  Par contre le cheat de plus en plus présent SI !  Ils font chier bohemia avec leur battleye de merde :fou:

 

En espérant,  que h1 soit aussi prenant et bien foutu niveau gameplay que DayZ.

oui tu as raison, la plaie de ce genre de jeu, pas que DayZ, c est le cheat, et j attends aussi Sony au tournant

C'est ce qui m'a fait arrêter DayZ depuis un moment aussi... Pourtant quel ambiance, quel potentiel, quel pied ce jeu cette EA  :kaola:
