Le développement ayant débuté plus tard, le jeu ne pourra pas sortir cette année et il faudra donc patienter jusqu’en 2007 (entre janvier et le printemps 2007 vraisemblablement) pour découvrir ce premier opus Next-Gen.
 
L’exclusivité de 12 mois prônée par Microsoft était donc totalement fausse. Nous vous laissons juger seul le bien fondé de telle annonce mensongère …

As promised, Electronic Arts has officially unveiled Digital Illusions' latest title for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Called Battlefield: Bad Company, it promises to bring a single-player focus to the series most renowned for its online game, and it's due out in 2007.
 
In a story reminiscent of 1999's Three Kings movie, players are dropped behind enemy lines with a squad of renegade soldiers on a personal quest for gold and revenge.
 
EA promises a "deep, cinematic" single-player game full of dark humour, as well as almost completely destructible environments thanks to DICE's Frostbite game engine.

"The heart of DICE's multiplayer games is the frenetic, unpredictable nature of the sandbox experience, where anything could happen at any moment, and that's what we're bringing to the core of Battlefield: Bad Company's single-player campaign," DICE producer Karl Magnus Troedsson.
 
"In a world that's 90 percent destructible, the gameplay possibilities are infinite - the battlefield is always changing, forcing players, team-mates, and enemies to react accordingly. Gamers will have total freedom to adapt to and tackle challenges in creative Battlefield-style ways."
 
EA's also promising a solid multiplayer component, as you'd expect.

-Dice feels one player modes in games of this nature has been overlooked and is trying to make Battlefield:Bad Company feature a one player mode as compelling as multiplayer in games like Battlefield 2
 
-Although its a fps, full Havok ragdoll physics apply to your player character. For example, when an explosion blows up next you, your body will be affected accordingly...they are simulating stuff like your head snapping back from the blast or having shockwaves rock your body off course...arms flailing around when flying through the air from a big explosion....imagine any ragdoll effect seen in other games.....its in this game too, except from a first person perspective!!
 
-They also mention stuff like a random movement variable has been added to your aiming axis to create more non-repetitive fire, and you'll notice more head sway from your character as he aims and strafes....Since an animation system is imposed on your ragdoll even though don't see it, actions like running and strafing won't just feel like you're skating on ice.
 
-Your aiming will be affected by how a gun's recoil acts on your sholder. Following actual marksmen principles, your first shot in burst fire will be the most accuate.
 
-As you fire more bullets, your characther will actually lean his body into the rifle to adjust to the recoil, and then move forward slightly when you stop firing and the recoil ends. So in gamplay terms, instead fo your reticle moving constantly upward as you fire, your aiming accuracy will go away at first, but return as your players body "adapts" to the recoil.
 
-Your aim will also be affected if you concentrate on it using a skill called "Ironsight". The game uses a special DOF filter for background that will gradually shround your peripheral vision as you concentrate on your target. Its the same effect you get in real life when you stare at an object long enough and everything around it slowly blurs.
 
-They also talk about environmental destruction and how they are trying to use this variable to effect the player psycologically....in one level, you try to destroy a tank but it turns on you and starts blasting.....you duck into a building but it blows part of the wall away....as you continue to run away into an alley, parts of it start to crumble around you as the tank trys to end your attempt at flight....again they are emphasizing the theme of "adaptablity" as it is a common theme in this game...

Q: So up until January 1?
 
Saito: Yes. In a sense. If we’re going to release PES 7 next year during this time, yes it may be one year.  But we never agreed that we were going to say that officially.  It was kind of misleading and a misunderstanding. What we meant or agreed with Microsoft was this winter or this season for PES 6 – this is exclusive.
 
Q: I wanted to ask about that. Was that agreement you came to the conclusion that you couldn’t get a PS3 version out anyway or was there some sort of marketing involved or incentive from Microsoft to make that announcement?
 
Seabass: It’s a very difficult question to answer and there are a lot of company politics involved.
 
Saito: Seabass is not responsible for that aspect so I should probably answer. As Konami, we always try to be better – this is true. We don’t want to go exclusive on anything basically because we believe there are PlayStation users, Microsoft users, Nintendo users, PSP users, and everything. No matter how much a good marketing deal there is we still believe that we should be equal. And this is a company policy as well.
 
So this announcement was made, but it wasn’t anything to trigger any issues with the other parties.   But actually this one year thing that we didn’t kind of allow, it triggered a little issue right now and we’re trying to sort this out.  Microsoft understands that yes, we’re equal, but we’re trying to be fair. So this year, yes, it’s 360 only on the next gen.
 
Q: Can I just expand on that. At E3 when we talked a PS3 version wasn’t even started. Has it started production, and as you said just now does it mean that theoretically we could have Winning Eleven 10 or PES 6 next spring on PS3?
 
Seabass: That’s no doubt. We already started, and I said in that interview I think that how we work as fair is that we don’t work on one console anymore. We work on the core and then we spread it out – we have this mentality.
 
So for next year, if the market is there.  If the PS3 doesn’t ship this year, and there’s no users, there’s no meaning for us to present PS3. As long as we hear the users voice, and everyone wants it we will consider it. I already am considering that, and probably PS3 will be released, they’ll be good followers and fans. If it’s up to us, we’re going to deliver it.
