In June/July 2005 Steve Lukather will do a short summer tour in Europe with three of the finest musicians of the L.A. music scene at the time: Steve Weingart, Joey Heredia and Oskar Cartaya. Lukather about the tour: The band is a KILLER!!! We will have a blast and I wish you all could be here! Well do alot of my stuff as it's more conducive to the band. Some covers and some old Los Lobotomys' stuff, I'm buzzed by Michael Landau, Hero with a 1000 eyes, Freedom, Dismemberment, Joy to the world, Led boots (Jeff Beck) etc. It's going to be VERY interesting. Me and a bunch of crazy latino fusion rock jazz cats. I predict BIG fun!
Steve Weingart (keyboards): Born in 1966 in Dayton, Ohio. After his study at the The College Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, Ohio, Steve moved to Los Angeles in 1994. He slowly but surely began to play with a lot of great musicians in the area and also landed a job teaching at the Musicians Institute School. He soon found himself playing with bands leaving town on short tours. In between those tours with various artists, he was playing with a Jazz/Latin/Funk trio with Marco Mendoza on bass and vocals, and Joey Heredia on drums when he met Dave Weckl. After Jay Oliver left the Dave Weckl Band, Steve got the opportunity to join Daves band. In 2003 Weingart released his first solo album Life times. Through the years Steve Weingart played with the likes of Chaka Khan, Frank Gambale, Scott Henderson, Kenny Rankin, Ernie Watts, Jimmy Haslip, Jason Scheff, Robben Ford, Virgil Donati and John Pattituci.

Joey Heredia (drums): Blends a multitude of styles, impeccable timing, and unbelievable skill to achieve a unique level of playing making him one of the best in the business. His credits include luminaries like Stevie Wonder, Sheila E, Sergio Mendez, Herb Alpert, Tania Maria, Scott Henderson, Frank Gambale, and Dianne Reeves. Blessed with an incredible innate talent Joey was playing gigs before his 18th birthday. Most of these bands were Top-40 bands playing for primarily Latin audiences in East Los Angeles., This meant the bands usually included from 2 to 5 horns, a full rhythm section, and played Salsa too. When they didn't have a full rhythm section Joey had to cover the timbale, conga, and cowbell parts. This came naturally to Joey, he'd grown up listening to the records his father would play and had started naturally imitating what he heard on the records on his kit. After college Joey was an extremely well rounded player with both the education, chops, and experience to tackle any gig. His fast growing reputation, both with Tania Maria and his session work, quickly led to other remarkable gigs with artist like Sergio Mendez, Brazil 88, Scott Henderson, and Frank Gambale. Firmly establishing Joey at the top of his chosen profession. Not one to rest on his past accomplishments, Joey continually expands his horizons including: Musical Director for Jennifer Page; producing select projects at his studio - Joey's Studio; and co-founding a new record label - "Groove Gallery Records." Recently he released the live album Live in L.A., together with Marco Mendoza and Renato Neto.

Oskar Cartaya (bass): During the course of a full career playing bass, composing, arranging and acting as musical director for an amazing array of artists has soaked up the influences of his homes in Puerto Rico, New York and Los Angeles. A long prolific career working with the likes of Spyro Gyra, Herb Albert, Jennifer Lopez, Celia Cruz, Rubén Blades, Tito Puente, Robbie Robertson, Willie Colon, Nestor Torres and more has given Oskar a long list of musical friends. When playing his own music live he is surrounded by the Enclave which Oskar describes as a musical play on words, the voice of a culture from within the boundaries of America, and a musical expression played en clavé. Our sound is a gumbo of jazz and funk, Afro-Caribbean percussion and urban street soul attitude. In 2003 he released his solo album My music, my friends, my time, described as one of the best Latin jazz recordings of the year.
