Bon, en fait la transmission interhumaine sans contact "étroit" est connu depuis 30 ans:
In the 1996 outbreak, the pattern looked different. First, a 41-year-old man in the foothills of Patagonia noticed symptoms. Three weeks later, his 70-year-old mother and then his doctor fell ill. That doctor’s wife became sick almost 4 weeks later, as did the doctor who examined her for 1 hour in a hospital in Buenos Aires, Argentina. These events “strongly suggest person-to-person transmission of HPS,” researchers wrote in the journal Emerging Infectious Diseases in 1997.
Another major outbreak, in 2018 in Chubut province in Argentina, offered more evidence. Researchers concluded it touched off when a man attended a birthday party for 90 minutes while feeling sick. Five guests at that party later fell sick themselves, and they touched off further rounds of transmission to at least 28 people, investigators reported in a paper published in The New England Journal of Medicine in 2020.
