+ d'infos sur le gameplay...
April 30, 2004 - Nintendo of America today revealed some of the new gameplay concepts behind Intelligent System's sequel to its acclaimed N64 RPG. In Paper Mario 2 players will indeed return to play as a two-dimensional Mario, and this time the developer plans on taking full advantage of the paper medium. To solve puzzles and progress, Mario and his buddies will have to slip through cracks, roll into the shape of a tube, in addition to a number of other ideas. One very interesting shape that players will have to take on is Paper Airplane Mario. Yes, you'll have to fold yourself up and fly, presumably to cross otherwise impassable gaps and the like.
If you've played the original Paper Mario you'll remember that a lot of the game is exploring towns, castles, and the surround lands of Mario's hometown, but along the way there are battles. The battles are still based on "Timing Action Commands," as Nintendo calls them, but this time they will be affected by Mario's ability to take the stage during battles and please the crowds to earn super attacks. We ask that you hold applause until we learn more, folks.
Paper Mario 2 will be available later this year, involving players in a quest that Nintendo says will have them in pursuit of a threat unlike any Mario has ever faced. We can barely stand the wait.
Tune in soon for more. We'll be monitoring Manuscript Mario every move he makes.
