Sound chip is not supported by ALSA due to a lack of chip specifications. Sound is supposed to work with OSS. The chip is detected by OSS automatically, but it did not work. The only sound i got was a long beeping and the system locked up. PCMCIA

iLINK-Port-Replicator iLINK (IEEE1394) S400 Sound: Micro in, Headphones APM
The following APM Kernel configuration works partially : - Enable console blanking using APM
- Ignore multiple suspend/standby events
- Ignore multiple suspend/resume cycles
- Allow interrupts during APM BIOS calls
apm -s : suspends to memory apm -S : does nothing Suspend to memory via the function keys works. Suspend to disk via function keys works, with one limitation. After a fresh reboot, it takes about 15 - 30 seconds before the suspending starts. During this time the notebook seems to hang. The next time suspend to disk will work properly. Lid closure does not evoke a suspension event. Other storage media

Booting : it is possible to boot the Kernel from the USB Floppy Driver, but this is really slow. Loading and uncompressing the kernel takes about 10 minutes. in order to use the CD-ROM Drive you need the following append line : ide2=0x180,0x386 The cardmanager will hang and PCMCIA will not work porperly, if at all, when the USB Floppy drive is connected to the notebook.
