j'ai un message d'erreur a la connection sur un compte tiscali illimité rtc sur mandrake 9.1 et lindows( il y a bien prise de la ligne mais apres plus rien jusqu'a un timeout de 30 sec et la deco...).
y a t'il un parametrage particulier a faire lié au fai ?

oui je pensse jutilise dns 213.36.80.1 et nom de domiane tisclai.fr

rien dans les logs ?
 
en root, tu tapes tail -f /var/log/messages dans un terminal, ça affiche en direct les logs
 
tu essayes de te connecter et tu regardes ce qu'il se passe.

avec l'utilitaire kppp j'ai dû doubler le timeout de la connexion... sinon toujours en erreur.

parcontre j'ai message  : couldn'tfind interface ppp0 : nosuch device

ppp0 c'est l'interface point-to-point, c'est à dire celle qui va utiliser ton modem.
 
essaye un ifup ppp0 en ligne de commande et en root avant de te connecter (ça active l'interface) et regarde dans les logs.

j'ai le message failed to activate ppp0 with error 2....
quand je lance ta commande

donc c'est qu'il y a un pb au niveau de la configuration mais je sais pas lequel.

tape 'man pppd'
ensuite tu cherches error (tape / ensuite error enter)
tu auras la liste des erreurs.

Je l'ai, mais chez moi ça marche avec les options par défaut (j'utilise kppp pour me connecter).

j'ai essayé le compte sur un autre pc et ca ne marche pas non plus meme message d'erreur cela viendrai du modem ??

en fait g 2 pc un intel et l'autre amd
j'ai changer le disk dure et refais une install et meme chose  
la je vien d'essayer avec un aurte modem oli speed com 2000 et ... meme chose

bah c'est ce que je dis... tant que tu ne regardes pas le script, tu n'avanceras pas...
 
avec la tête de cette erreur, tu auras beau changer 100x de modem ça passera pas...
 
ou alors, le retour de l'erreur est foireux.
