Ca changeras rien, la procedure d'installation depends pas de la distribution
seulement de la version de Xfree/xorg

j'ai réussi à installer les drivers fglrx je redémarre et je fais fglrxinfo il me dit que c'est mesa comment faire pour que les nouveaux pilotes soit prise en compte

Tu as bien fait le fglrxconfig ?

À utiliser libGL.so provenant des drivers de ton choix.

bon je n'ai pas fait la bidouille ayant vu qu'il y avait de nouveau drivers ATI etje n'ai pas de répertoire modules/fglrx donc j'installe je lance fglrxconfig je passe en console et je fais serce dm restart c'est la mauvaise définition mais sa marche. je mets la bonne definition c'est super je fais glxgears 235 fps donc je me dit y a un problème je regarde et la driver=MESA
donc comment fait on pour activer les drivers ATI
 
ps j'ai renommé mon fichier xfreeconfi-4 en xorg.conf et j'a effacé xfreeconfig-4 et la sa marchait plus

Moi quand j'ai installé la 10.1 j'ai pas eu besoin d'installer les pilotes j'avais deja l'acceleration :/. Pourtant c'était la version DL, je sais pas pi etre parce c'était une vielle ATI (radeon7500).

Moi, l'installe mes drivers rpm -Uh --force etc ...
 
je lance fglrxconfig
 
je redemarre ma session et ca marche
 
Normalement xorg.conf pointe sur XF86Config-4
 
ls -l /etc/X11/
xorg.conf -> XF86Config-4
 
Tu est sur qu'il n'y a pas de dossier /lib/modules/fglrx
S'il y en a pas , ca rique pas de marcher parce que le module est dedans !!!

si j'ai fait l'install et il y en a un mais après vous me dite que c'est xorg.conf qu'il faut modifier moi y aun cadenas dessus et dans le tuto d'install des drivers il disent juste de le renommer en xorg.conf

Fait voir ton fichier xorg.conf
et ls -l /lib/modules/fglrx
 
Vu que tu as xorg , c'est celui ci qui doit imperativement etre bon !!!
 
Et pourquoi veut tu le modifier, apres fglrxconfig il doit etre bon !

regarde ce que j'ai quand je fais lspci

c'est normal qu'il ne sache pas ce que c'est?
 
EDIT: je veux le modifier parce que les drivers ati crée un fichier pour xfree et non pour xorg (en tout cas c'est ce qui est dit dans le tuto sur hfr)

Le fglrxconfig crée normalement le fichier /etc/X11/XF86Config-4
 
Il faut copier (ou faire un lien symbolique) /etc/X11/XF86Config-4
en xorg.conf !
 
 
Mais, j'avoue que je te suis plus trop !
Quel est le bug une fois que tu relances l'interface graphique ?
Tu peut donner le fichier /var/log/Xorg.0.log apres le crash ?

normalement, il y a un truc qui doit parler de fglrx, le module chargé de l'acceleration !

attends j'ai réussi à installer le pilote en donnant moi-même le pcibus je redémarre x ça marche sauf que quand je fais glxinfo j'ai

c'est pas un problème de kernel où direct rendering manager ne marche pas?
ourtant j'ai le noyau mandrake par défaut

Tu n'a pas une erreur explicite genre "Unable to intiliasize ..."
 
Ou les logs de Xorg ?

Tu es sur qu'il faut installer les drivers fglrx pour les cartes PCI ?
La radeon 9550 existe-t-elle aussi en version AGP ?

non ma carte est une agp et il me semble qu'elle n'existe qu'en agp. de toute façon j'en suis sur j'ai monté moi-même l'ordi donc c'est sur et certains AGP

ben je sais pas c'est normal non même si on voit pci c'est agp c'est pareille pour tout le monde.

ui sauf que moi en faisant un modprobe dri il me dit qu'il n'y en a pas voila d'ou vient sans doute le problème comment faire pour ajouter le module dri

Il faut que tu l'actives dans le noyau, dans la section /Device Drivers/Character Devices/ et tu mets Direct Rending Manager en dur, et pour l'AGP c'est dans la meme section, chez moi il est en dur. Voilà

et pour le mettre en dur c'est dans le fichier .config de /usr/src/linux/.config?
