The University of La Rochelle gives the opportunity to its students to study one year abroad, in order to discover its culture and its working methods. Currently studying in 2nd year of DUT Techniques de Commercialisation, I would like to participate in the Erasmus program so that I can get a quality experience . It is often assumed that any departure abroad is an enriching experience. However, it seems that it must be in line with its own affinities in order to fully benefit.
My period of study is foremost a language project, weighted by practical and universitary considerations which seem nevertheless to be consistent with my personal affinities.
The Scandinavian countries are the heart of my project, because they crystallize aspects of language, practice and teaching.
Scandinavia is a unique region, which has always attracted me both by its natural beauty, its strong cultural diversity, or its avant-gardism in many areas, both at the ecological level, the world of work and especially education reflected in the HDI topping the world rankings.
First, I really want to study next year at the University of Halmstad in Sweden. It is a medium-sized port city, cosmopolitan and welcoming every year many international students, and at the same time geographically close to Denmark. In addition, I have had very positive feedbacks from friends who studied there, in terms of conditions of living as well as the atmosphere and quality of education.
Halmstad has the great advantage to offer courses in line with my personal and professional project. Indeed, I would like to continue my studies in commerce, particularly in marketing, a field that is widely taught in the university. Finally, I strongly wish to complete a Master in Management at the University of La Rochelle, in order to start a career in business with a strong education like the one offered by the Institute of Management La Rochelle. I want to make good use of the skills acquired overseas, related to business, economics and language.
