Restore  
 
Syntax: restore [path to network storage of file]  
 
Example: restore L:\cc\cs108\cs108.gho  
 
Notes on Restore command:  
 
 
***It is necessary to reboot the machine to DOS using the Unattended Boot Disk provided by CIS and login to Novell and map any necessary drives before attempting this command!!***
 
The restore command loads a ghost image from a location specified in the first command-line parameter to the first hard drive.  
The script sets the comspec environment variable to point to m:\bin\command.com  
The script then calls Ghost v6.0 with the following command-line parameters:  
-clone,mode=load,src=%1%,dst=1,sze1=F,sze2=F
This causes Ghost to start in the file-to-disk mode, with the source being specified by the first command-line parameter, the destination being the first disk drive, fixing the first and second partition sizes at the max size allowed by the partition type.
 
-rb Reboot after finishing.  
-ntil Ignore the NTFS log that contains info about corrupt partitions.  
-batch Removes interactive prompts. The return value will be 0 on success and 1 if a failure occurs.  
-sure Removes the final warning prompt before starting the ghost command.  
-auto Uses default names for split images. These will be: [name].gho, [name].001, [name].002, etc.  
-afile=nul This suppresses the ghost.err file.
