edit: mes lectures sur le sujet n'expliquent en rien le changement de prix brutal. Opodo achète des billets "consolidés", donc moins chers que ceux des compagnies. Les billets étant déjà vendus à opodo, la compagnie ne peut pas leur "signaler un changement de tarif".

Un tarif, c'est un ensemble de règle et un prix. Une règle, c'est par exemple "Uniquement les vols aller-retours", "départ entre le mardi et le jeudi et retour entre le vendredi et le dimanche avec au moins un week-end sur place", "ne peut être vendu au Venezuela", "un stop over gratuit de moins de 48h", "2 transfers maximum dans chaque sens", "annulation 150€ avant le départ", "bébé transporté sans supplément"...
Une classe ou catégorie tarifaire, c'est un ensemble de prix qui partagent des règles similaires (grosso modo 100% flexibles vs non annulables non remboursables non échangeables).
Une compagnie aérienne attribue un certain nombre de places à une classe tarifaire. Une place peut être attribué à plusieurs classe tarifaires, ce qui permet par exemple de s'assurer que toutes les places de l'avion sont disponibles avec des tarifs 100% flexibles. Le yield management, ça consiste à décider de la répartition des places entre les différentes classes tarifaires et éventuellement la changer dynamiquement. Par exemple, tu peux vouloir vendre que 2 places au prix le moins cher mais si tu te rends compte que l'avion est à 3/4 vide à 1 mois du départ, remettre plein de siège dans la classe tarifaire qui correspond au prix le plus bas.
Y a aucune raison que la compagnie aérienne décide d'afficher la même répartition des places entre les classes tarifaires à tout le monde. Par exemple, Air France peut considérer que les américains sont moins enclin que les français à voyager sur Air France et mettre plus de places disponibles dans les catégories tarifaires peu chères pour essayer de les attirer. Et il n'y a aucune raison que chaque agence de voyage cherche nécessairement le tarif le moins cher (par exemple, elle peut décider de ne chercher que des billets 100% flexibles, ce que font souvent les agences de voyages pour professionnels).
Ça me semble louche qu'Opodo achète des billets à l'avance. Je ne vois pas quelle compagnie majeure vendrait une partie des places à l'avance à un prix fixe (au risque de ne pas avoir de PAX), alors qu'elle aurait pu remplir le vol en gérant bien son yield.

Déjà t'as pas besoin de chercher régulièrement pour avoir des updates sur le prix d'un vol qui t'intéresse en posant une alerte sur google.com/flights Ensuite, c'est déjà bien compliqué de sortir un prix quand quelqu'un cherche un vol Paris - Los Angeles, Amadeus/Sabre vont pas en plus se faire chier à mettre des conditions du genre "si cookie/EMEI/IP vue récemment, alors ne pas tenir compte des tarifs les moins chères".
Au jour d'aujourd'hui, l'itinéraire suivant: CDG-IAH (Houston), aller sur AF636 le 26 septembre et retour sur AF639 le 29 septembre, en cabine business est disponible aux prix suivants (et encore j'ai pris l'aller et le retour dans la même classe tarifaire): 10227€, 7999€, 6282€ et 5547€. Maintenant je te laisse imaginer le bordel si t'essayes de rajouter les vols avec des correspondances Et si en plus tu dois gérer les cookies pour supprimer dynamiquement des réponses... Faut bien se rendre compte que pour savoir si un tarif est valable, tu peux avoir pas mal de règles à évaluer J'ai mis les règles pour l'aller du vol à 5547€ pour bien comprendre
