Java se fait défoncer sur la consommation mémoire (les barres noires), mais se tient sur le CPU (barres blanches). Il est égal ou identique au C sur 4 benchs (binary-trees, n-body, regex-dna, spectral-norm) et égal au C++ sur 2 (fasta et pidigits), avec les pires perfs à 2.5*C et 3.9*C++  (un seul bench, le suivant est à 2.1)
 
Avec son GC bien moderne, il a surtout un gros avantage sur l'allocation de petits objets (qui peut être faite beaucoup plus rapidement qu'un malloc "classique" ) tant que la mémoire extra ne commence pas à jouer. Et il faut que le code tourne suffisament longtemps pour que le JIT puisse tracer correctement, naturellement, sinon on va plus se retrouver dans le cas de -Xint

Ce gars raconte que tout ce qui est open source est forcément supérieur et il édite un des logiciels open source les plus pourri parmis les projets open source les plus populaires (linuske, renarddefeu, cheyenne, bureauOuvert)
