Le flou gaussien appliqué à un calque de réglage constitué depuis une sélection partielle agit directement sur le masque de fusion ainsi créé pour adoucir les transitions entre l'image de fond et les réglages positionnés sur ton calque.

Si tu ne le fais pas tu vois la zone retouchée apparaître clairement comme si tu avais fait du collage.

ça dépend surtout de ce que tu masque, si c'est un bâtiment avec des bords bien nets, le flou gaussien va rendre le truc moche.

Il faut que le réglage ne soit pas trop violent ou que la retouche dans son ensemble passe.
Si tu as un bond de luminosité/couleur par exemple difficile que ça passe inaperçu.

j'utilise moins souvent les dégradés, avec une palette graphique et un stylet c'est tout aussi précis et plus rapide.

C'est un tuto de base pour voir comment on fait et comprendre le principe, après chacun arrange ça à sa sauce.
