Je voudrais brancher mon scanner lide 35 mais il n'est pas reconnu comment faire?

tu as essayé avec l'outil de Mandriva ? ( drakscanner )

cf menu -> système -> configuration -> configurer votre ordinateur

puis une fois que le centre de control Mandriva est lancé ( après avoir fourni le mot de passe root ), [Matériel] -> Scanner

il semble être supporté donc cela devrait le faire.

J'ai installer xsane-0.98a-2.fc4.i386.rpm que j'ai télécharger ici ftp://ftp2.sane-project.org/pub/sane/xsane/

mais je ne le trouve pas dans le menu K

pkoi installes tu un package Fedora sous Mandriva ?!!! vire moi ce package !

1. utilise l'outil de configuration de Mandriva pour détecter et configurer le scanner

2. utilise rpmdrake et/ou urpmi pour installer ce qu'il faut. Mandriva fournit xsane, kooka ( interface KDE ) et autre pour le scan.

A ok fc4 c'est fedora core 4, bon à savoir.

Le problème c'est qu'avec le truc de configuration de mandriva il me dit ce sacnner n'est pas reconnu par linux ..

mets les mises à jours des outils Mandriva via l'utilitaire de mise à jour, ce doit être un pb de d'identification.

je voudrais aussi le résultat des commandes suivante :

lspcidrake
sane-find-scanner -v

si cela ne marche vraiment pas, on ferra une configuration manuelle et il faudra faire un rapport de bug afin que la prochaine fois il soit correctment détecté.

Note : pour avoir sane-find-scanner, il te faut installer les packages sane-backends et sane-frontends

Bon j'ai installer sane, le problème c'est qu'il reconnait pas mon scanner mais il reconnait la carte tv !!

c'est normal, sane peut utiliser une carte Tv ou vidéo comme scanner.

intéressant ... sur le site ils disent que el scanner est supporté, mais dans le fichier de conf ( /etc/sane.d/genesys.conf ), ils disent el contraire

tiens en effet, c'est bien le même ID.

Bon, tu vas éditer le fichier /etc/sane.d/genesys.conf et virer le # devant l'identifiant de ton scanner.

tu devrais avoir une ligne ressemblant à ceci :

# Canon LiDE 50
usb 0x04a9 0x2213

j'ai juste viré le # devant "usb 0x04a9 0x2213".
"0x04a9 0x2213" permet d'identifier ton scanner.

parfait, maintenant on va dire à sane d'utiliser le pilote genesys qui supporte ton scanner, car par défaut il ne le charge pas. Pour cela tu dois modifier /etc/sane.d/dll.conf et ajouter la ligne suivante :

genesys

Note : si tu ne veux pas qu'il détecte ta carte Tv comme un scanner, il te suffit de mettre un # devant v4l dans /etc/sane.d/dll.conf

le scanner est allumé ?

tu peux redémarrer ? normalement c'est inutile mais je n'ai jamais testé la config manuelle d'un scanner.
une fois que tu as reboot, donne le résultat des commandes suivantes :

lsusb
sane-find-scanner -v
scanimage -L

Le scanner est branché à un hub usb alimenter par le secteur. C'est peut être ca mais ca m'étonnerais!

et "scanimage -L " ?

a vue de nez, le scanner est vue par le noyau, mais il ne fait pas le périphérique ( fichier /dev/usb/scanner ) qui correspond ...

un moyen de savoir ce que fait le système est de consulter les journaux du système en temps réel.

0. tu débranches le scanner

1. dans un terminal, tu te connectes en tant que root avec la commande su :

su -

2. puis tu affiches les journaux du système en temps réel

tail -f /var/log/messages

3. tu branches et allume le scanner. Des messages vont défiler. Poste les stp

bon ton scanner est détecté ( cf scanimage ), essaie avec xsane ou kooka ( interface KDE, bcp plus jolie ) de scanner.

Si cela marche, je ferais un rapport de bug à mandriva et tu ajouteras un commentaires pour confirmer. scannerdrake sera alors modifié ( je pense ) pour gérer ton scanner et correctement le reconnaître

J'ai installer 7 paquetages qui contenait kooka dans leur nom puis jai rebooteer et au boot j'ai une nouvelle icone sane. je teste

Cela signifie qu'il n'est pas supporté alors. Il y a un début de support mais il ne marche pas encore.

tu peux faire un rapport de bug ( en anglais ) aux développeurs de SANE afin de voir si ils pourraient finir le support de ton scanner.

C'est vraiment dommage ni mon imprimante (enfin elle marche mais c'est optimiser à 100%)ni mon scanner sa fait un peu trop de chose qui ne marche pas sous linux pour y rester ...

pmb236le r etour> demande au constructeur de matériel de fournir les pilotes ou les specs pour Linux ... ce n'est pas de la faute de Linux. Sous Windows ce serait le même problème, sauf que els constructeurs fournissent les pilotes.

sinon pour l'imprimante, tu peux la mettre en mode économie normalement. cf dans les options du pilotes.

Moi je n'a jamais ce genre de pb, car je choisi du matériel compatible pour Linux.

cependant peux tu faire le rapport de bug sur http://www.sane-project.org/bugs.html ? Cela permettrait qu'éventuellement plus tard ton scanner soit supporté. Il semblerait qu'il faille peut de choses pour que cela marche.

C'est le bon côté de Linux, chacun peut apporter sa contribution pour améliorer la situation ( pour soit ou pour les autres ).

J'avais pas rebooter depuis la dernière fois et la j'ai rebooter pour alle faire un truc sous windows et au démarrage plus de lilo juste un truc du style:

Et impossible de booter sous linux ou sous windpws!

tu as fait des modifs ? au niveau de lilo ou de /etc/fstab ?

Ben le seul moyen que j'ai trouver pour résoudre le pb c'est de réinstaller mandriva pour la 8 eme fois et ce coup si je crois que c'était la dernière

Vous pouvez pas m'aider? j'arrive a re aller sous windows au premier boot aprés l'installation de mandriva par contre le boot d'aprés ben denouveau Verifying DMI Pool Data...............

si tu ne me dis pas le je ne sais pas koi, comment eux tu que l'on t'aide.

Cette erreur intervient lorsque l'on a déplacer un disque dur ou une partition ou mis une mauvaise référence dans le fichier de conf de lilo.
Il peut y avoir le même genre de pb sous Nt4/2k/Xp, cf le fihcier boot.ini. Si tu déplaces des partitions sans mettre à jour ce fichier, NTLoader échoue.

Il te faut réinitialiser la MBR

pkoi as tu réinstaller 8 fois ? je ne me souviens pas de t'avoir dis de réinstaller linux ... mauvaise habitude windowsienne ...

J'ai réinstaller 8 fois depuis le début des vancances à cause des multiple problème aec mandriva du style aprés un reboot fatal error kernel ...

j'ai déjà effacer lilo avec la commande suivante fixmbr car fdisk /mbr c'est pour 98

Et ca change rien toujours verifing pool data ... ects

tu devrais vérifier si le disque est bien détecté dans le BIOS. Là cela ne semble pas concerner linux si ton pb arrive lors des messages du BIOS.
