Sorry in advance for any mistakes made as its my first reddit post ever lol.
DISCLAIMER:The purpose of this post is to take a look at upcoming global banners via comparing them with the jp side and help F2P or mild P2P players(like myself), to spend the most valuable resource of the game, dragon stones, wisely, to keep up with the new meta. This is not meant as an attack on any of these cards (I have seen too many pikkon optimal nonsense) or to discourage people from pulling on banners. It's a game in the end, and you can play it as you see fit. This is just for people who are slightly more competitive in the game or wants the best the game has to offer while not being able to whale on the game. I will be discussing mainly the banners featuring 120% leads and skipping over support card banners and LR banners, as those, while being good banners, are too much investment for the target audience of this post, who are looking for mainly: Cards with good leader skills.
So lets start with the next banner global should receive: Phy Cooler
 
PHY COOLER
 
To start with, this card is amazing. being the first 120% villains lead to be released in jpn after the SSJ4s, it was released only one and a half months after them. The featured cards of the banner are: TEQ Merged Zamasu, PHY Broly, STR cell, PHY Full-power Frieza, and a new TEQ kid gohan. The card itself was great, even sometimes surpassing the power of SSJ4s (please don't start debate about this in comments). The banner featured the old phy god lead, as well as 2 demi gods and a villian team lead, so its pretty good overall.
The problem I have with Cooler though, is that to use it, a rather specific team compositon is required. Sure they are some free ext phy cards from the super strikes that links with him( mecha frieza and king cold), and sure, his best linking partner, full pwer frieza, is available in his banner or even avaliable via a red stone, but I am pretty sure most of the player base don't own many good extreme Phy cards.
Overall, i say this banner has very good things to offer, but not one that people should drop too many stones for.
Next we have:
 
TEQ SSJ3 GOKU
 
The next 120% lead, SSJ3 goku is the super teq lead, released two weeks after cooler in jpn. His banner is FANTASTIC. Featuring great cards like INT Ikari trunks, INT Vegeta Blue, TEQ SSJ3 Gotenks, STR SSJ3 Vegeta, AGL SSB Kaioken Goku and a new rainbow leader, Masked saiyan. That is 2 demi gods, a hero lead, a god lead and a new rainbow leader that surpasses PHY arale. In case anyone doesn't know, masked saiyan grants 3 ki to all and 50% up to atk,def and hp, like Vegito blue and rose, only without the super/extreme restriction.
Goku himself is a hard hitter, with a farmable(though tedious as fuck) SA. His team composition is easier to grasp then Cooler, and his best linking buddy, Gotenks is on his banner. Also, super teq is fortunate to have lots of free to play support, such as LR goku, the 2nd anniversary ssj2 goku, skinny gotenks from super strike etc. So its easy to put together a team from scatch. This banner is a steal, a great banner to drop stones on due to the great featured units with amazing leader skills.
 
SUPER 17

To me, this is an underatted banner. Coming out 2 weeks after ssj3 goku, the super 17 banner features also AGL SSJ4 Vegeta,AGL Super vegito, AGL Super saiyan rose goku,AGL SSJ3 Goku and the new AGL and INT Anfroid 17s.
Guys, This is the first Banner the features TWO NEO GOD LEADS! Also, if there is anyone running AGL Teams, this is probably the best banner to pull on! While Super 17 as a card is lack luster compared to the previous entries, he is still a great card with a semi-farmable SA level to boot. His team composition is easier to manage as they are mostly on his banner(rose and android 17 from hell) or are free, sorta(LR androids).
Overall, another great banner to drop some stones on, but not the best of the bunch.
 
KID BUU

I dunno what to say about this banner. All the previous banners have something positive about them for me to defend but this...
To start, coming out 2 weeks after Super 17(See a trend?), Kid Buus banner features INT Buuhan, STR spirit bomb base goku and INT base vegeta(both already avail to dokkan in global), STR Buff Buu, Teq Golden Frieza and INT Janemba. On a first glance, you would think that this banner is not bad, featuring a god lead, a demigod and several new cards...
The problem is this, Kid Buu sucks(read Disclaimer plz). Not saying he is a bad card, but compared to the rest, he is the most lackluster (See a trend here with Ext 120% leads?). Why? He has NO KI LINKS. I can't stress how important this is. The guy has a passive that boost his attack even more than SSJ4 goku, but what is the point if he cannot super consistently? Sure there are support cards that gives ki to him that mitigates this(INT Turles, the new INt suport unit Vegeta, INT Metal Cooler etc), but they are NOT FEATURED ON THE BANNER. Simply put, to build a Ext Int team is difficult like Ext Phy, as team composition requires cards from mutiple banners or just are not featured.
Also, comparing the previous banners which gave 2 demigods plus other great team leaders, this banner just does not offer that. Hopefully, they pull a goku black on INt Kid buu and give him a Ki related passive add on. But even with that, i would say that the banner is not worth dropping stones into.
 
JANEMBA AND GOGETA'S RETURN

And finally we come here, the one we have been waiting for. The Legendary 3+1. What can I say? TiME TO GO HAM!
Lets start with Str Janemba, since I personally think that it is the weaker banner of the two. It features PHY goku black, Teq Maksed Saiyan, Str Cell, TEQ Merged Zamasu, Str omega Sheron and Phy Cooler. HOLy MAMA! 2 neo gods, a god lead, 2 demi gods, a villain lead and rainbow lead!? THIS SCREAMS VALUE! On top of that, this banner features 3 optimal ext Str cards for Janemba's team (cell, sheron and janmba himself). Ext Str has great FTP support with Lr frieza and General Rildo from the GT event too! Making this banner amazing!
Next, we have Gogeta's Banner, featuring STR SSJ4 Goku, TEQ SSj3 Goku, PHy vegito blue, Int Ikari Trunks and Teq Beerus. HOLEE SHIT, 3 NEO GODS IN ONE BANNER! No to mention the 2 hero leads to boot! Team composition wise, its a little weaker as gogeta only has trunks to support it but super int has great ftp cards such as the baba shop ssj2 gohan( obtainable via 777 gems), goku jr(which global has not receive but probably will) and world tournament LR piccolo(even to UR and SSr ver are great cards).
To top it all, its 3+1! This is what everyone should be saving for period.
I will end it here. I know that there is still Phy Gotenks and Teq SSJ3 broly incoming, but my end goal has been reached for now. This is hopefully helpful in covering the upcoming 3 months of global banners. But be warned! This is subjected to change as banners may not be released in these order. Global has proven to follow a different schedule from jp but this is the most likely order of release. Once again, it's my first post so I hope that people can help me improve and maybe I will post more stuff like this in the future. I am not like mobileman who can calculate stuff to give the most optimal builds but I hope that my more "plebeian" viewpoint can be of help to some to build more f2p friendly teams. Any suggestions for improvement or errors pointed out would be helpful.
