1. Extract the driver into a temporary directory.
2. De-install the old driver (see also de-installation of the driver after this paragraph) or delete, after a new installation of the operating system, the entry for the modem (PCI Communication Device) at the device manager (start settings control panel system hardware device manager [classic view] respectively start control panel performance and service system hardware device manager[category view]) under Other components.
3. Reboot your PC.
4. The assistant for searching new hardware: PCI-Communication device (simple) will be started.
5. Choose Install the software from a list or a special source (for advanced users) and continue with Next.
6. Search this source for the correct driver. Activate search also the following source and specify the directory, where you have extracted the driver or search the position with the option search. Important is, that you have given the complete path. Confirm this window with Next.
7. The PC is searching the given sources and find Creatix V9X HAM Data Fax Modem. The software will be installed.
8. Completion of the assistant. The software for the following hardware has been installed: Creatix V9X HAM Data Fax Modem. Finish.
9. The modem should be available at the control panel (printer and hardware) under telephone- and modem-options. |
d'avance merci !
