Hi Florent,
25 blocks eh?
I can get my machinists to make up slightly larger plates that have the XP-64
mount holes in them. I can also include some 75mm long bolts with the
larger plates, and these will allow the springs to be doubled up so that when
the two springs on each bolt are fully compressed, you should be getting the
correct mounting pressure for the XP-64.
Now the size of the XP-64 plates means that they are slightly larger than the
Intel P4 recommended size. The P4 plates are 90mm long, but the XP-64
plates will need to be 100mm long. This leaves an extra 5mm overhang on
each end over the Intel specified sizing. Most P4 boards I've seen should be
able to handle this just fine, but I can't guarantee that all will. It depends.
Would you like me to put an order in to get the XP-64/P4 combo plates made
up? They'd still be $17 AUD each. I could send 10 of these plates, and maybe
5 regular P4 plates, and if anyone there has trouble with the longer XP-64 plates
on their particular P4 board, they could just swap if you're willing to manage
that.
Let me know.
Stew.
