Sous W2K (NTFS), dans l'Explorer, certains dossiers (comme par exemple "Mes images" s/dossier de "Mes Documents" ) apparaissent avec un commentaire.
Comment peut on faire cela    
 
Si quelqu'un connait l'astuce ou un freeware simple pour pouvoir ajouter un commentaire à un  dossier (comme cela se fait sur les fichiers) je suis preneur.

Configuring Custom Folder Views
 
To configure custom views for folders, follow these steps:
 
1.
 In Windows Explorer, select the folder you want to customize. If you want to customize all the folders on a system, select any folder, and then when you complete this operation, follow the instructions in the section of this chapter entitled "Setting Views for Multiple Folders."
 
2.
 Choose the Customize This Folder option of the View menu. This starts the Customize This Folder Wizard. Read the welcome dialog box, and then click Next.
 
3.
 Select the type of customization you want to make, shown in Figure 12-3:
 
• Choose Or Edit An HTML Template For This Folder Select this option to select or create a new template for the folder.
 
• Modify Background Picture And Filename Appearance Select this option to add background colors and images to a folder.
 
• Add Folder Comment Select this option to type a descriptive comment for the folder.

La traduction en ligne (n'étant pas faite pour les chiens ) m'a permis de comprendre et de trouver la solution   (avec l'aide d'un autre forum pour être tout à fait honnète)  
 
J'ai d'ailleurs fait un tutorial que je tiens à la disposition du site (Avis au modérateur ).

Dans le dossier Mes images en faisant afficher "fichiers cachés" et "fichiers protégés par le système" y'a un petit fichiers desktop.ini :

une autre voie à explorer?

C'est effectivement avec un fichier desktop.ini que l'on peut inscrire le commentaire (InfoTip=bla...bla...bla ). La difficulté que j'avais c'etait le liens entre le fichier descktop.ini et le dossier. En fait, il faut passer par personnaliser le dossier et modifier le fichier .ini ainsi crée.
