Le firmware v2.00 est arrivé chez Rio, en fait c'est le portage du firmware 1.20 de iRiver pour les Rio Volt => plus aucune raison de ne pas l'installer !!!
Une fonction supplémentaire: l'équaliseur est peut être réglé indépendamment des réglages prédéfinis (voir à la fin du post)

Pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas le 1.20 de iRiver, lisez ceci (après avoir lu le .txt de firmware 1.13fpdir )

These files will update the RioVolt portable MP3/WMA player to the most
recent firmware version, 2.00. This firmware update adds the
following features over version 1.13fpdir:
The gap between songs is significantly reduced from 2-3sec.
Also mechenical noise between the songs have been reduced.
Improved anti-shock during the MP3 file loading.
Quick loading (Fast CD recognition) is implemented (not applicable for
packet writing format)
Volume control level now has option for 40 steps (from 0 to 40)
User defined EQ mode is added.
Menu items are added and better-organized.
The following is the description of menu mode.
---------------------
Menu mode is similar to Navigation mode.
Press and hold down the EQ button to start menu mode.
Play/Pause and Stop button will select menu items. Press the Fast
Forward button to select one of these specific items.
Within the specific items, Play/Pause and Stop buttons will select
specific options (described below). Use the Fast Forward button to
toggle the different options. Use the Rewind button to return to
Menu mode.
General (General settings)====================
BEEP SOUND.
You can turn ON and OFF the beep sound. You can also change the volume
level (1/2/3/4).
RESUME.
You can set resume ON or OFF. If resume is ON, last used play mode will
be preserved even after power off.
MP3 BUFFER.
Anti-shock buffer(MP3 BUFFER) can be set to 30sec or 60sec.
This applies only to MP3/WMA songs.
30sec option will force 30-120sec anti-shock buffer.
60sec option will force 60-120sec antishock buffer.
While 60sec options will be more shock-resistant, it will use more
battery power.
VOLUME STEP.
Volume step can be set to 40 or 20 steps.
Volume can be changed from 0 to 40 when '40' step is selected.
Volume can be changed from 0 to 20 when '20' step is selected.
The option only changes the number of steps, and does not change the
maximum and minimum volume level.
-Display (Display settings)=========================
ADAPTER LIGHT.
If Adapter light option is on, LCD backlight will stay on when adapter
is used. If adapter light option is off, LCD backlight will be turned
on only when a button is pressed even when adapter is used.
Setting adpater light option to off will reduce power usage and increase
the life of LCD backlight.
This option does not have any effect when batteries are used.
FILE EXT.
When FILE EXT is on, [MP3],[WMA],[CD],[ASF] will be displayed.
When FILE EXT is off, [MP3],[WMA],[CD],[ASF] will not be display.
TAG INFO.
When TAG INFO is on, tag infomation will be displayed if avaiable.
When TAG INFO is off, file name will be displayed.
Changing TAG INFO to off during play may not prevent from displaying the
tag information of the already played songs and the songs automatically
read into the buffer.
TIME INFO.
When REMAIN option is on, the remaining time will be displayed.
Remaining time of VBR encoded files may not be correctly displayed.
When NORMAL option is selected, the time elasped will be displayed.
TIMER (auto power off time setting)==================================
SLEEP TIMER.
This option sets sleep timer.
Available options are OFF/10/20/30/40/50/60/70/80/90 min.
The RioVolt will turn off automatically after the designated time.
STOP POWER OFF.
You can set 30sec/10min/20min/30min/40min/50min/60min for this option.
CONTROL.
When FF/RW SCAN is on, long pressing NEXT/BACK button will perform fast
search within the song. Short pressing NEXT/BACK button will let you
skip to the next/previous song. However, fast search with mp3 files
will not be as smooth as in AudioCD player. This feature may not work
properly with VBR MP3 files.
When FF/RW SCAN is off, long pressing NEXT/BACK button will perform fast
search between songs.
RW/FW SKIP.
You can set +10/-10 or DIRECTORY.
When +10/-10 is selected, short press followed by long press of NEXT/BACK
button will let you skip to the previous 10th song or the next 10th song.
When DIRECTORY is selected, You can skip to the previous/next directory
by short+long pressing RW/FF.
FF/RW SPEED.
This option sets the fast forward or rewind speed. 1X/2X/4X/6X
EQ BUTTON.
This option lets you use EQ Button as EQ/PROG/MODE/NAVI button.
MODE(Play mode settings) ===================
This options can change/enable/disable the play mode available with mode
button.
REPEAT 1
This will enable/disable repeat one song feature.
REPEAT DIR
This will enable/disable REPEAT DIR feature.
When REPEAT DIR option is on, the machine will stop when it finish playing
all the songs in the current directory.
REPEAT DIR ALL
This will enable/disable REPEAT DIR ALL feature.
This feature will repeat songs in the current directories.
REPEAT ALL.
This feature will play through all songs in the current disk.
SHUFFLE.
Ramdomly play all the songs in the current disk.
Stops after all the songs are played.
SHUFFLE 1
Repeat the songs randomly selected.
SHUFFLE DIR ALL
Randomly play the songs in the current directory.
SHUFFLE ALL
Randomly plays songs from the current disk.
INTRO
Plays the first 10sec of each song.
INTRO HIGHLIGHT
Plays 10sec after 1min of each song.
USER DEF EQ (User defined EQ setting) ===================
BASS BOOST.
Bass boost level can be set from 0 to 12db.
BASS FREQ.
Bass boost frequency can be set to 50Hz, 100Hz, 200Hz.
Bass will be boosted under the frequency set in BASS FREQ up to the
level set in the BASS BOOST option. If BASS BOOST is set to 0, there
will be no boost in Bass.
TREBLE BOOST.
Treble boost level can be set from 0 to 12dB.
TREBLE FREQ.
Treble boost frequency can be set to 2kHz, 4kHz, 7kHz.
Treble will be boosted above the frequency set in TREBLE FREQ up to
the level set in the TREBLE BOOST option. If TREBLE BOOST is set to 0,
there will be no boost in Treble.
