J'ai installé la nouvelle version stable de J2RE 1.4, de SUN, mais contrairement aux versions précédentes, je ne trouve pas le fichier javac.exe permettant de compiler les .java

Heu non, je crois pas. Enfin je suppose que le JRE c'est pour "exécuter" du java, pas pour en compiler. Sinon goto SDK.

yes. En tout cas dans le dernier JRE 1.3 il y est le compilateur ...
