It works just fine now as a Quadro MXR. I have a fan on my heatsink so I can run it at 200 MHz core, 183 MHz memory.
Brand and Product:Hercules prophet II MX
Video Chip:GeForce 2 MX
RAM type:SDR
RAM amount:32MB
1st Resistor Modified (e.g. R121 -> R122):leave 121 mod 122
2nd Resistor Modified (e.g. R123 -> R124):leave 123 mod 124
Comments:
Ok, this is different, leave the 10k resistors alone on the card. Don't move them (121->122, 123->124). Do not touch!
Just get two 2.7k resistors (2k7), and add them to the blank 122 and 123 spots on the card. I had no worries getting them on. No need to remove the sink, just bend the leg on one side of the resistor onto 122 to get around the big vrm, or whatever it is next to the solder points (that big black square). It was piss easy, and I really suck at soldering.
It's nice and convienient of them to leave blank solder nobs on the card eh?
The card WILL still say a hercules prophet II mx on the post screen when you first start the comp, BUT, when you hit windows, QUADRO II MXR BABY!
Alors a votre avis je fait quoi !!!
