Bonjour,
Depuis quelques jours, je cherche une solution pour lire des mkv avec des codecs video rv40 soit rv9,
j'ai donc installé mplayer mais il me faut installer les codecs rv9 pour mplayer,  
Aucun forum ne me donne une expication claire et précise sur l'installation de ces codecs rv9 sur linux yellowdog.
Jai installé les codecs win32 dans /usr/lib/win32.

Pour lire les MKV, je préfères Xine et VLC.

oui Mais il faut des codec pour les formats real (rv9), vlc me lit le son mais pas l'image ainsi que mplayer

Ca semble résoudre une partie de ton problême...

Honnêtement change de format, le fomat real est vraiment pourrave. Le lecteur officiel est ton seul salut malheureusement.

C'est parce que le répertoire dans lequel se trouve ton exécutable n'a pas les droits nécessaires pour exécuter ton bin. /ben, c'est ton home ?

cd ben
./RealPlayer10GOLD.bin
Si tu pouvais éviter d'être root, ca serait cool (a moins que ne le lecteur le réclame).

Sinon tu n'as pas un paquet de ta distribution realplaye  (par exemple sous debian il y a un paquet pour la source marillat

J'avais installer un rpm de real player mais une fois installé avec yum il ne souvrait pas.
J'ai juste besoin des codec Rv9 apres j'utilise mplayer et xine
Les procedures que je trouve ne fonctionne jamais j'usqu'au bout comme tu a pu le constater pour celle-ci.
Pourtant c simple je souhaite lire des mkv encode en rv9 ce qui est
simple sur windows mais pas sur linux meme si je trouve que linux et bien plus reflechi.
Comment faire?

Tu dis dans ton premier post que t'as une Yellow Dog, donc je suppose que tu es sur un mac ou du moins sur architecture PowerPc (ou une PS3 ?) ?
 
Si oui, oublie les paquets binaires de RealPlayer, ils sont pas destinés à ton architecture, et c'est pour cela que tu ne peux executer l'installeur.

These are binary codecs for use with MPlayer. They are useless for normal
Windows players (like Windows Media Player, QuickTime, RealPlayer, ...) as
they only contain the DLLs without installer and other fancy stuff needed

Put the files contained in this archive in a directory where MPlayer will find
them. The default directory is /usr/local/lib/codecs/ ($prefix/lib/codecs/) if
you are compiling from source, but you can change that value by passing the
'--with-codecsdir' option to './configure'.
 
If you use a prebuilt MPlayer package it will most likely be /usr/lib/codecs,

In the past /usr/local/lib/win32 or /usr/lib/win32 was the default directory,

Je l'avais bien dit que c'était un problème de droit..

J'ai copié les fichiers dans /usr/lib/codecs
mais je ne peux toujours pas lire mes MKV avec mplayer

il faut telecharger le pack essential Linux x86 20071007 ou Linux PPC 20071007

Si j'ai bien compris mplayer va chercher les codecs dans /usr/lib/codecs
Une fois les fichiers copiés dans ce repertoire mplayer devrait pouvoir decoder mes mkv  
Ou alors j'ai mal compris.

Recompile mplayer maintenant que t'as les codecs
 
Dans la sortie du configure, tu devrais voir (enfin du moins c'est comme ca sur architecture x86) :
