Voila , n'arrivant pas a configurer ma carte son venant de chez dell , j'ai rechercher sur leurs forums et je suis tombe sur ca :
 
 
It's been well established by now that Dell installs an 'OEM version' of the Soundblaster Live card that is different from the retail version.   Here is what Creative Labs has to say about the Linux  drivers that it supplies:
 
 
 
 
 
 
Dell ships a card with the Dimension line called the "SoundBlaster Live 5.1" (CT0200) which doesn't work with this (or any other) Linux driver. If you are ordering a Dell, tell them you are using Linux and they should be able to sell you another SoundBlaster which will work. (my underlining).
 
 
 
 
If your computer is still in the customer return period, you may be able to get Dell to do an exchange.  Otherwise, you may have to buy a new card.
