c est pas ca, tetris n utlize ke tres peu de kooleurs et ke les 3/4 de l ekran na pas dutoo de kooleur donk : blanc (enfin beige) ce ki fait ke c tres lumineux.
 
par kontre il parait ke poor les jeux GBC ca fonce enkor plus les jeux.

vertes d'origines mais se change pour des rouges, des bleus, des oranges et memes des blanches je crois.

Oui effectivement, avec l'écran c'est plus pratique, quoique comme lampe de chevet, c'est la classe (MAis un peu cher)

If you have been following the forums at IGN, you may know that originally our plan was to attempt a backlight solution. Why were we not satisfied with external lights? Four reasons:
 
1). They are bulky and get in the way of portable gaming.
2). They draw just as much power as an internal light would.
3). They produce glare on the protective screen cover that would not result from an internal solution.
4). The light would be spread out more evenly through the screen if lit from the inside.
 
The only reason I have spent so much time on this issue this last week is the fact that I know how easy some sort of lighting solution is to implement. Nintendo, for God knows what reason, simply didn't care.  
 
Anyway, after finally finding a way to get the system open with a very small regular screwdriver (damn tri-lock screws), I found that the LCD screen is protected by a metal sheath. This sheath can not be removed without prying against the LCD and most likely damaging it somewhat. Otherwise backlighting the LCD would work - check out the picture showing light passing through the lcd from the rear.$
 

 
 
So we decided to attempt a front-light , or perhaps more accurately, a side-light solution similar to that of the Compaq I-Paq. On one side of the LCD there will be a long bulb or LED of some sort, on the other a mirror surface to reflect the light back into the other direction. This can be done with an acceptable amount of battery loss. Although to me only getting 3-4 hours out of two AA's will be perfectly acceptable. I have 20 rechargable batteries and a 10 hour recharger that will take care of that with ease.
 
Our only problems with a side-lit solution were getting power to the light and fitting it into the system.
 
The power issue was quite tricky. It was obvious that we needed to get power from the main batteries - a secondary battery for the light would either have to be outside the unit (ugly) or inside the unit (annoying to replace). We then decided that the EXT output, the source of power for external lighting devices, would be the best way to piggy back on those 2 AAs. Unfortunately, if routed the power signal from that switch within the system, link play capability would be lost. That's when the idea popped into my head:

It was so perfect it brought a smile to my face. The unit would be acceptably small after taking off the gigantic cover/light unit, it would include a on/off switch, a brightness dial (may or not be acctually usable in final design), and most importantly a link port pass through. All I had to do was cut the wires off going to the light, take off the shield, and route the wires into the system housing. I did have to shave the plastic a bit to allow the wires to pass through, but this is covered by the external mod unit.
 
The other great part about this is that the circuitry has already been built for power to be drawn from the main batteries without disturbing the system. From an engineering perspective (my background), I haven't had to do anything expect hook up a LED with two wires.
 
The other issue I am now starting to work on - fitting the light into the housing with the LCD screen. I am almost 90% sure of how I will do this. Because the system inside leaves only about 2 mm at most room for anything extra, and because anything wider than 2mm will put pressure on the LCD when the system is shut, the plastic screen cover will have to be elevated slightly (3-5 mm). This means that the screen will stick out a tad, which is perfectly acceptable to me. I will also have to find something to fit in between the plastic screen cover and the edges of the LCD. One of the last things I will do for the system is figure out creative ways to make this look good. I am optimistic that this is a worthwhile tradeoff.
 
Many people are saying that these pictures show no more than a light bulb inside of an empty system. Those of you with any intelligence whatsoever know why I am not going to spend any time replying to such nonsense or any other pointless bickering.
 
Due to many requests, keeping the modification simple was one of the main goals of the project. I once had grand ideas of making money off of this, but that just isn't the way of the Internet (and I wouldn't want to take on Nintendo legally). So I plan on making a tutorial for this whole process.
 
The next step in the process is to research lighting technology, and find the best option for power draw vs. light output vs. size vs. price. Of course who really cares about price, right? My finances certain have and will take a hit for this research.

En clair, pas de rétro-éclairage mais une lumiere par led sur un bord avec diffusion sur tout l'ecran?

ca s'annonce ptet plus compliqué qu'il y parait (enfin un japonais fondu de technologie trouvera bien le moyen..),  
 
car cette histoire est à peu de choses près similaire aux écrans lcd pc minuscules, certes certains sont rétroéclairés, mais ont besoin d'une alimentation spécifique qui fonctionne de concert avec la diffusion video.  bref j'ai vu plusieurs fois des écrans lcd, mais pas autonomes, ils dépendaient d'une carte graphique spéciale et non changeable comme ça au vol.
 
bon je m'égare un peu, mais si qq'un trouve un systeme rétroéclairé dans un autre appareil du meme acabit, et qui fait moins de l'emplacement prévu, peut-être.. pourra t'il le clipser et l'allumer.. cependant si la gba nécessite une fréquence spéciale.. faudra un systeme genre lampe tout court.

Le problème semble être la partie métalique du LCD ...

oh y' aura bien un taré pour essayer de tirer dessus

non j' en ai pas j' en ai vu sur goldenshop mais c' est un peu cher (120 balles mais avec eux on doit pouvoir faire sauter les taxes ) et faut ajouter le port et tout je prefere attendre d'avoir plus de trucs à leur prendre et noyer ca au milieu d'autre chose avec des pour n64 (c' est pas les mêmes font chier nintendo )

et un petit up passe que c' est un bon topic comme on en veut plus
