VideoLanClient is able to perform video transcoding, that means converting the input video into another format.
As an exemple, a DIV-X file can be transcoded to X-VID format using VLC, funky isn't it ?

Instead of creating a file as an output, VLC can also send a stream through an UDP network (like the Internet) !!

The only thing you have to do is adjust transcoding parameters to make the output flow fit your network connection, and you'll have a pretty nice video-on-demand solution.
