La saison 2009 viens de se terminer avec un championnat de F1 bien surprenant et le doublé pour l'écurie Brawn'gp titre pilote pour Jenson Button et le titre constructeurs pour cette écurie  qui auras duré juste une saison, fait unique dans l'histoire de la formule1, dans le monde des rallies Sebastien Loeb remporte a nouveau le titre après une saison ou le meilleur Hirvonen de toujours auras fait douter le pilote Alsacien juste a la dernière spéciale au pays de Galles, dans le MotoGP  la confirmation du magicien Valentino Rossi .....ou s'arrêtera  ?

Selon Autosport, le Rallye de Monte-Carlo fait partie des 14 épreuves qui seront soumises au Conseil Mondial de l’Automobile le mois prochain pour l’établissement du calendrier de la saison 2011.
 
Relégué au rang IRC depuis deux ans, le Rallye de Monte-Carlo pourrait faire son retour en WRC en 2011. L’épreuve monégasque fait partie des 14 candidates pour la saison prochaine. La grande nouveauté pourrait être la tenue d’un rallye à Abu Dhabi en remplacement de la Jordanie. La liste complète selon Autosport : Monte-Carlo, Suède, Mexique, Portugal, Abu Dhabi, Argentine, Italie (Sardaigne), Turquie, Finlande, Allemagne, Australie, France, Espagne (Catalogne), Grande-Bretagne. La décision sera prise le mois prochain à Bahreïn par le Conseil Mondial de l’Automobile.

Hummer - C'est fini
Le modèle/marque historique à plusieurs points de vue est morte hier soir. La nouvelle a été confirmée par General Motors qui devait pourtant revendre Hummer au chinois Sichuan Tengzhong Industrial Machines. Mais ce dernier a finalement dit non.
 
Les relations actuelles très tendues entre les Etats-Unis et la Chine n'y sont certainement pas pour rien dans ce refus de dernière minute. Et c'est tout un pan de l'histoire automobile qui se meurt.
 
Hummer, c'est d'abord l'histoire d'un véhicule militaire, le Humvee (High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle : Véhicule à roues multi-usage de haute mobilité). Celui-ci a été conçu et produit par l'entreprise AM General jusqu'à sa vente, en 1992, à General Motors. A partir de cette date, GM fait du Humvee un véhicule civil.
 
Le Hummer (dans ses version successives : H1, H2 et H3) devient le symbole de la fortune et de la puissance. Stars du showbiz (en premier lieu desquelles Arnold Schwarzenegger), rappeurs, hommes politiques… le Hummer acquiert une cote incroyable jusqu'au début des années 2000.
 
C'est à ce moment-là que le Hummer devient le pestiféré du monde automobile. Trop gourmand en carburant (en moyenne 14 litres aux 100 km), trop polluant (en moyenne 372 grammes de C02/km), il est représente du jour au lendemain tout ce que l'automobile a de plus mauvais. Malgré la tentative de GM de redorer son image avec une version diesel lancée en 2002, rien n'y fait vraiment. Il n'y a plus que les rappeurs (français la plupart du temps) pour encore trouver un intérêt au Hummer.
 
Son inadaptation aux nouvelles données du marché aura donc eu raison en moins d'une décennie du Hummer. L'histoire se termine donc aujourd'hui, jeudi 25 février 2010.
