How do I eliminate the LOADQM.EXE that has been installed on 3 of my machines by clicking on the "Load MSN explorer button" on the Default home page that comes with IE5 when you are in Australia(NineMSN). I would keep the MSN explorer for its functionality, small downloadable footprint, and Outlook capabilities but hate the way that it prevents you from disabling the LOADQM(qmgr) capability associated with instance messaging(buddies). This chat room stuff is a waste of time for me and I am now incensed that when I uninstall the whole product, disable it in my msconfig startups it still insists on loading and communicating. You have some old posts here that relate to this and they claim that LOADQM is not Microsoft. Can it be that Microsoft are playing a really silly game here by competing with AOL to take our machines and our bandwidth captive.
This software should use SMTP protocol and ports and be documented so we can control it. At the very least Microsoft should have a patch that completely removes it so that WE have control over the internet traffic generated by OUR own machines. As far as I am concerned this falls under the definition of a TROJAN.

To prevent LoadQM from starting with MSN explorer:
Click on Help and Settings>>Privacy>>Service Quality Monitoring.
Uncheck the box for "Send quality monitoring information".
Click the Change Now button.
Reboot.
Etonnamment, j'ai pas installé MSN Explorer ? Cela dit j'ai testé MSN Messager, mais je l'ai viré rapidement.
