humm ... try connectin the +5V connector dirrectly ont the voltage regulator ! why not ? 5V it's good to reach 300mhz !

Actually, what U could do is directly take the 12V of your supply, get a apropriate Resistance (U know, the thing that get off Ohms...) and plug it directly to your DDR...
