Voilà un moment que je galère à installer ce bin'ss et j'arrive toujours pas:
 
j'ai un portable sur lequel est installé mandrake 8.0,
j'ai une carte PCMCIA avec une carte ethernet Cnet CN40BC, qui est
normalement reconnu par linux.
 
L'interface PCMCIA est semble-t-il bien reconnu, dans harddrake, dans
bridge, Texas Instrument PCI1410 PC card cardbus contoller.
 
Par contre impossible d'installer l'interface ethernet,
 
J'ai lu plusieurs howto, essayer quelques trucs sans trop comprendre:

si oui, quelqu'un sait comment ça s'arrange??

Quand tu insères la carte, si tu as deux bips de même intensité alors ça veut dire qu'elle est reconnue. Si tu entends deux bips différents alors ta carte n'est pas reconnue.
 
Essaye aussi "ifconfig eth0 ton_ip up" car si tu ne lui donnes pas d'ip il est censé la trouver dans un fichier mais ce n'est apparement pas le cas (/etc/network/interfaces par exemple).
