Un commentaire reddit sur le passage de Giroud à Arsenal
He's a great second option, but not an elite #1 striker. The "he won the World Cup" crowd might disagree with that, but Arsenal fans who watched his whole career shouldn't. Very good player. But when you are trying to win the biggest trophies over a full season, you would want a better #1 striker than Giroud (i.e. Henry, Van Persie).
I think he even joined the team expecting to be the second striker to Van Persie, yes? I feel like his whole career at Arsenal is partly marred by being the perfect Plan B striker for us and never really having a Plan A - and it's weird that the perfect Plan A for him was able to arrive because he left.
