Mitsubishi's MT-30, nicknamed the 'Thirty', is a budget mobile phone, but you get a quality display and a decent user interface that makes the phone a pleasure rather than a chore to use. A neat numeric keypad is hidden behind a spring-loaded flip. However; opening or closing the flip doesn't answer or end phone calls (as it does with some rival mobile phones). The microphone isn't covered by the flip, so you can make and receive calls with the flip closed. The four-way 'mouse' key allows easy navigation around the phone's menu system. Sadly, the Thirty misses out on luxuries like a clock and a vibrating alert. But there is a fax and data option.
The fixed antenna provides a pretty decent signal, and call quality is good despite the absence of EFR circuitry.
