Voila ce que j'ai trouvé:
1. LED Front panel LED signal, indicates drive activity.
2. SYN Synchronous spindle synchronizing signal generated by host or drive
3. DLY Asserted by host to enable Delayed Motor Start Option (motor starts at power on or after a delay of 12 seconds times drive ID). This and MTR are mutually exclusive options.
4. MTR Asserted by host to enable Motor Start Option (enables starting motor via SCSI bus command).
et aussi a propos du signal SYN (trouvé sur les news avec google):
"Sync spindles is used was designed for byte wide striping, as I
understand. There are very few current drives that seem to use it
and all the new high performance Seagate drives - series that used
to have the SYN - no longer have it."
Et ce a quoi repond une autre personne:
"Actually all the current models seem to still have it, _but_ what has
happened is that Seagate have moved the capability to an 'OEM only'
function, instead of documenting it for retail use. It is still a
necessary function for any RAID array, where data is required to
arrive from several drives before a read request can be satisfied,
otherwise the perceived latency for the read will be worse than for a
single drive."
