Bonsoir a tous!!! voila un deterrrage de topic!! en effet, j'ai le meme probleme que citer precedemment. Je suis sous mandrake 10.1, et je possede UT2004 en version 6 CDS... n'ayant pas le fichier linux-installer.sh, je lai demander a un pote, qui me la filer.
Je lance l'install a partir de ce fichier, tout ce passe bien, je choisis le repertoire d'install, je copie ma clef cd, et pis je lance l'install. Il transfere alors quelques fichiers puis il me demande d'inserer le cd play. J'ai alors essayer d'inserer tout les cds, sans resultats. J'ai remarquer que dans la console, il me mettait : mount: périphérique spécial /dev/sda1 n'existe pas
Dans mon fstab j'ai ca  
 
/dev/hda1 / ext3 defaults 1 1
/dev/tmpfs /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
/dev/hda6 /home ext3 defaults 1 2

J'ai essayetr de desactiver supermount, mais lorsque je tente de monter manuellement le cd il me di quil est proteger en ecriture, alors quil ny a aucun shell qui ny accede.. Merc de vos reponses, par avance;)

vire la ligne "/dev/sda1 / ..." qui correspond à bta clé USB et qui devrait pas être là si ta clé USB n'est pas branchée.
 
Note : ce genre de bug avec la ligne de la clé USB qui reste dans le fichier fstab est corrigé dans la 2005LE et 2006

:'( maintenant il me dit ca: /dev/sdb1 n'existe pas et il peut pas mount.... il me demande toujours dinserer le cd play, je suis desesperer sivouplait, dois je retirer la ligne correspondant a ma deuxieme clef USB dans mon FSTAB? Merci :)

J'ai virer la ligne de la deuxieme clef USB, il ne m'indique plus de problemes de montge du cdrom. Cependant, il continu de me demander d'inserer le disk play. Est ce    que quelqun pourrait me dire quel est ce fameux cd? parceque ja inserer le disk 1 le disk 3 et 6. je me demande si ca fonctionne finallement... merci :)

alors, une petite precision, il me dit (sans faire mount/mnt/cdrom) que can't create files : files already exists....

quand tu as des messages d'erreurs, donne les et ce de manière complète ... cela nous aide à comprendre pkoi cela ne marche pas chez toi.
 
je pense que le CD play est le CD1, mais bon demande à quelqu'un qui a UT2k4 ou lis la doc

voila tout les messages que jobtiens dans le shell des lors que je lance l'install......
pourtant jai bien resuprimer le dossier qui a ete creer, au debut de linstall nommer ut2004. et je lai supprimer de la corbeille je comprend rien  :pfff:  :sweat:

bon jai tapre la commande que tu mas demander de taper, il ne maffiche plus aucun message dans el shell. Malgres tout, il me demande d'inserer le cd play.... je crois que ya plus rien a faire a part reinstaller windows XP. Le probleme cest que jarrive pas a l'installer non plus........ Et pis je l'install dans le mon repertoire perso parceque sinon, il me di quil ny a pas assez de place sur le disque..

le pb à mon avis est que lorsque tu le lances il veut faire un rep, or tu l'as installé dans un rep du même nom.
 
donc il demande le CD play, tu mets le CD dans le lecteur et tu fais mount.

bah cest ce que je fais, mais une fois le cd inserer, je clik sur ok et le message ne part pas et linstallatoin ne se poursuit pas...

en fait il commence linstall tout boien, il copie quelques fichiers, puis il em demande d'inserer le disk play. Je ne sais pas par contre si c'est le dernier installeur.... tu sais comment on peut le savoir et ou le recup?

tu as acheté le CD ? c'était le spécial Linux ?
 
il n'y a pas un fichier README ou INSTALL sur le CD qui explique ce qu'il faut faire ?
 
question bête : quelle carte graphique ? essaie plutôt avec la Mandriva 2005 ou la 2006 lorsqu'elle sera dispo et donne next time plus d'espace pour /

ouip acheter le cd, mais pas la verison speciale linux..... je savais pas quil existait une verison linux.. je pensais que tout etait dedans.et pis le fichier readme ne parle pas de linstallation sous linux....
 
Ma cg est une Nvidia Gforce 4 Ti
Note, je viens de mapercevoir quil me dit dans le readme que la Version Linux à télécharger séparément et qun readme separer a ete fait our la version linux, mais je le trouve pas.... ptete sur un autre cd non?

pas moyend e l'installer, le probleme ne bouge pas, il me demande toujours d'inserer le disk play apres avoir copier quelques fichiers...

donc pour installer, soit le Cd1 ( "CD1 Install Disc" ), soit le DVD ( "Play Disc" ).
tu le mets dans le lecteure, puis tu fais ( en admettant que le lecteur où tu as mis le CD est dispo via /mnt/cdrom ) :

Supermount est activé dans al Mdk 10.1 si ma mémoire est bonne ( il est désactivé dans la 2005LE et 2006 ), donc il te faut dsactiver supermount. Pour cela avant de mettre le CD :


supermount -i disable


 
ensuite tu redémarres. Pour vérifier q'il est bien désactiver, après avoir rebooter tu fais :


grep supermount /etc/fstab


 
Toutes les commandes sont à faire en tant que root.

You will need to recompile your kernel and/or modules to enable the Joliet extensions.
 A: If you are running SuperMount or an auto-mounter, you may need to manually un-mount and re-mount the CD prior to pressing "Retry". You may also need to kill the associated daemons, to prevent them from confusing the CD detection.

 A: The Linux installer asks for the wrong disc names. This was the results of an unfortunate miscommunication right before the disc went gold. The installer will ask for "play disc", "disc 1", "disc 2". What it should ask for is "disc 1", "disc 2", "disc 3". This is obnoxious, but it is not fatal, as the text is just used in the user interface, and is not used in detecting the disc. Just put in the disc it wants, not the one it asks for. :)
 A: Note that, perhaps most importantly, the other questions about the original Unreal Tournament apply. Especially with regard to joilet support. When you mount disc 3 to look for the installer, you should see linux_installer.sh, not linux_in.sh. The option you want in the kernel configuration is under "Filesystems". Enable "ISO 9660 CDROM file system support" and then "Microsoft Joliet CDROM extensions". If there is a "Rock Ridge extensions" option, enable that too.
 A: Do not sit on the mount point, or you won't be able to switch discs. So if you do this (or something like it):  
mount -t iso9660 -r /dev/cdrom /mnt
cd /mnt
./linux_installer.sh
                         
 You won't be able to unmout the disc when the installer asks for the next disc in the series, since your shell is still sitting in the mountpoint. It will work better if you do something more like this:  
mount -t iso9660 -r /dev/cdrom /mnt
cd /somewhere/else
/mnt/linux_installer.sh
                         
 The installer copies itself to $TMPDIR before running, so it shouldn't be sitting on the mountpoint. If this still isn't working, copy the installer yourself, to make sure it is not blocking your unmount:  
mount -t iso9660 -r /dev/cdrom /mnt
cp /mnt/linux_installer.sh $HOME
umount /mnt [this is making sure the disc is unmountable]
$HOME/linux_installer.sh
                         
 A: Are you using Mandrake? If so, you will probably need to disable supermount for your CDROM/DVDROM drive, since it appears to be interfering with the installer's ability to detect the CDROM properly. To turn it off, run drakconf, go to "Mount Points" -> DVD (or CDROM) -> Options -> uncheck supermount.
 Save your changes, make sure the CDs are completely unmounted, and then try the installer again. You'll need to manually mount the cdroms, insert disk 3, run the installer, and it should work fine now.
 Other distributions will need to use their way of turning off supermount, although we don't know of any others that use it by default.
 A: If you get a bunch of errors to the console for each file installed, talking about different devices in your /etc/fstab, they can (usually) be ignored. If they are causing trouble, temporarily comment those lines out of fstab. (If that makes you nervous, the SETUP_CDROM environment variable described below accomplishes this better.)
 A: If you have multiple CD drives, and the installer is continuously grinding the one you're not currently installing off, then tells you "mount: no media" or similar, just stuff one of the other Unreal Tournament 2003 CDs into that drive. The installer will even pick up on that and save you a disk change later.
 A: If you are SURE you've got the correct disc mounted and the installer seems to disagree, export the environment SETUP_CDROM before running the installer, and you might be able to fool it (this is untested):  
export SETUP_CDROM=/where/i/mounted/the/cdrom
/where/i/mounted/the/cdrom/linux_installer.sh
                         
 The installer doesn't care if it's really a CD, so if you get really desperate, you can copy it to your hard drive or mount an ISO on a loop back device, etc. The installer just looks for files in a directory tree to decide if the CD-ROM is mounted. If you've got multiple CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drives, mount a disc in each and export SETUP_CDROM_CD1, SETUP_CDROM_CD2, and SETUP_CDROM_CD3, and the installer will go directly to those locations for the needed files.
