Nothing to add to the others, man, just go to a pub, have a good beer and talk with native speakers!It's the only way to improve really your spoken English and avoid making too many mistakes (which would probably be the case if you speak with non native speakers who only learnt English at school).  
Don't be afraid to be ridiculous, foreigners love the French accent anyway so enjoy!    
 
The most important is to feel comfortable enough to speak normally about anything you want to...
 
Tomorrow' Saint Patrick's day, will be easy to find some Irish to talk with I guess    
 
 
For the written English, well it may seems stupid but I started chatting with foreigners (girls like me because I didn't want any missunderstanding   ) on MSN thanks to websites where you can meet people from all over the world. (like friendsabroad.com at the time)

Well, it's true that that if you are already shy in French...it won't be easy in English. Although a girl(French) who was with me in Ireland last year, was never speaking in French, but everytime we went to the pub she had a Guinness and after that you couldn't stop her with the irish lads...so try the beer,really

I remember I read a book like this with all the most horrible sentences in both languages...it was so f***ing funny that everybody around me started reading it, even though they didn't seem to all speak English very well.
 
When it's funny and you enjoy writing/speaking the language you don't think anymore and that is when you really improve.

J'ai bien pensé à une traduction littérale "The luck turn around", ou "The luck goes around & comes around", mais je me demande s'il n'y a pas une expression particulière aux anglais ou américains !

Is that THE place I've been looking for, for months, to improve my english ???
Lately, I've been trying to work on my english (written & spoken). My level was not too bad, but I'm not practicing anymore ! (Except for the TV show, series & film wich I always watch in original version of course )
 
So I'm thinkinf maybe HFR could be the place to do so... My main issue remains that I do not have anything interesting to tell you  

 
Pretty much like everybody here - you won't get much practice if you only rely on this topic, it can appear dead for days at a time.

Pfff today at work we are moving (changing the organisation of the different offices in the buidling).
Awful : impossible to work in such a mess : the are moving the walls, the desks, we cannot use phone anymore.

Well actually I don't feel like using one of my (rare) vacation day juste because the decided to organise the moving (for "déménagement" ?) today !
No way, they pay me to watch beautiful strong men moving huge furnitures, I feel like in the Diet Coke ad  
and won't be very productive, for sure... Moreover with a failing network and no phone, since I work as an internet responsible  

(am i supposed to correct the mistakes like a teacher, too? )
